Re: Significant mismatch of file download size between FDM and that indicated by Internet options dialog
Don't know for certain if what's happening aligns with my observation or if it's just a placebo effect. But, setting the download speed to Unlimited in the Settings seems to mitigate the problem a bit, i.e. the excess bandwidth consumed by FDM is within reasonable limits. Any manual override of the ...

Significant mismatch of file download size between FDM and that indicated by Internet options dialog
Hello, I've been experiencing a rather strange behaviour when downloading ISOs via FDM. There's more than a significant/exorbitant mismatch between the actual downloaded portion (something in the order of 1.5 times the actual size) and that reported by Internet Options dialog box . Also confirmed by...

Re: FDM 6
Youtube downloads are no longer supported it seems with the latest release. Has Google finally managed to wrest control over FDM.

Re: FDM6: Assign a virus scanner to scan each downloaded file
Out of curiosity, what is the point of this thread. Pretty much every Anti virus software out there is represented but barely any have pointers to either the Paths or Arguments.

Re: FDM6: Assign a virus scanner to scan each downloaded file
Anyone knows the correct path to be assigned for Bitdefender Total Security. There are too many exe files in the installation directory (See below). I'm clueless as to which one to pick. "C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender Security\about.exe" "C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdef...

I had the same Ad pop up too--The cryptocurrency bit-- although it's a rare event.

Re: Download destination
Will see if going back to the previous version works. If not I'll probably do a complete reinstall. Edit: I feel a little stupid/embarrassed now that I've figured out what was wrong. In trying to pinpoint the issue since the upgrade I inadvertently set both the options clear history older than and M...

Re: Download destination
How did you perform the update, internally through FDM itself by checking for updates, or externally, by downloading it and installing it? I upgraded to this particularl (latest) version via the update checker. I do perform an upgrade by externally downloading from time to time though. Hope this is...

Re: Download destination
@johnlgalt Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the pull-down menu shows only the default path in my case, irrespective of whether I have the history enabled/disabled in the settings. If I remember right, I've always had the download history disabled from day one without any trouble with the path/fo...

Re: Download destination
@ Clive Sorensson We would like to be able to assign a default download location of our choice (as was the case earlier). Since one of the recent builds every download defaults to the "c:users/download folder. There's also an option missing to choose a different location (chosen earlier) via th...

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
Yes, they have. Now Youtube preloads (and starts playing) video before loading full webpage. Youtube parser in the latest FDM 3.9.7 can't find video title to use it in the download name. It shows only format tags… Yes, I've noticed that too. The actual player pops up before anything else. Never kne...

I've been having the same issue (as above) of late too, except on Chrome. Not sure if they have changed Youtube functionality.

Re: FDM & Google Chrome
Dear User! Please provide us with an example of a page from where you download. The logs I provided belong to a regular Youtube page. I follow standard download procedure (download via right-click context menu or copy-paste video url to the FDM client) and don't do anything unusual as such. Does F...
