Re: FDM ver. 3.9.6 build 1556 crashes Firefox 39.0 on close
I have Free Download Manager version 3.96 build 1556 installed with Free Download Manager plugin version 1.7.5.2 in firefox 39 . When I enable the Free Download Manager plugin, every time I exit firefox it will crash. When I look at the details of the crash it lists the following: Problem Event Nam...

Re: FDM 3.9.4
I noticed that the installer is now signed by softdeluxe. It was the first time I saw that. Why is that?

Crashes during torrent download
Don't know if this is a known issue/reported early, but FDM keeps on crashing when I download a torrent.
The torrent is the only thing that I am downloading with FDM. I have already submitted two crash reports via the crash report tool.

Integrity Check
There is no obvious way to perform an integrity (MD5/SHA checksums) check on downloaded files.

Re: Torrents blocked
If FDM fails to download torrents only from that *one* WiFi hotspot, it is safe to assume that the administrator doesn't approve of torrents. In which case he/she might also be blocking VPN connections! If you are seriously considering a VPN option, for this sole purpose, then it might be better to ...

Re: How to add FDM to Firefox based browsers
Yes I know about flash got. But I was trying to use the actual FDM add on. Since it is an add on and not a plugin, and most add-ons are compatible with firefox based browsers, I wonder if there is a way to install the add-on into those browsers. I am using Pale Moon, and the reason I prefer it over ...

Re: Torrents blocked
Hi, could you tell us a bit more about your system: What firewall software are you using? Have you checked to see if FDM is allowed? What FDM version are you using? the latest is 3.9.3 build 1360 If you are using a public Wi-Fi hotspot than it is likely that the administrators have blocked torrent t...

How to add FDM to Firefox based browsers
Hello,
Is there a way to add the FDM add on to Firefox based browsers like Waterfox, Palemoon, Comodo Ice Dragon?
Since almost all add-on's that work on firefox work also on other firefox based browsers I am guessing there should be a way!

Hi Bubba If you mean the notification windows that show up near the tray area http://i.imgur.com/SZjSH5z.jpg You can disable these notifications by going to: settings -> notifications -> Show small notification windows on downloads completion. http://i.imgur.com/1GLWHOY.jpg

Re: Torrent (Bittorent) plugin with 3.9 build 1249
Hello soundguy, I noticed that you did not mentioned anything about DHT, by default uTorrent has it enabled, but FDM doesn't. Check in your settings to see if you have DHT enabled, because that might be the reason why torrents with a low number of peers fail to start in FDM (Especially if the tracke...

Re: Download outside of FDM?
In InternetExplorer and Firefox, by default, if you press cancel in FDM's download options your browser should ask you to download.

Re: BitTorent port range
I am connected via router and I don't need port forwarding to use FDM as a bittorrent client. The only thing I need is to connect with a tracker port listed in .torrent file (if DHT is unavailable). If you have problems with your router, update its firmware, change its settings or change the router...

Re: BitTorent port range
I did not say it was required, but if you don't forward ports, than nobody will be able to connect to you, as you won't receive incoming connections. - I am sure you know this. I also did not say that you have to use some set of default ports. My exact question was: why does FDM offer a port range i...

Re: BitTorent port range
I meant declaring ports for incoming connections. Isn't the port range 1500-1600 in FDM for incoming connections? Are you sure that when I define only one port in uTorrent I am only declaring the first port of the range? If so then how would people be able to define port forwarding when they are beh...
