This thread is just incredible!
There's nothing unusual about FDM. It's just another program with an uninstaller included. If it has been installed correctly, and is the genuine FDM build problems with uninstallation has nothing to do with FDM itself. On this note I would like to recommend another great freeware program: Revo Unin...

Thanks guys! However, I still have a problem on Windows Vista: I have associated .torrent files with FDM, but what happens is that the torrent file itself gets downloaded and not started even if I set the download to run, or even to download and then run. The only way I can get FDM to start the torr...

FDM and BitTorrent downloads
Hi,
When I click on a BitTorrent link in my browser (IE) FDM downloads the torrent, but does not start the torrent download itself. Is there a way to have FDM open a torrent directly and open it like for instance uTorrent does?

How to skip
Hi, Sometimes there's downloads FDM doesn't handle right and I would like to use the standard IE download interface. How can I tell FDM to skip a download completely and let the browser deal with it instead? I know how to set it so that all FDM downloads needs an ALT pressed to initiate, but not how...

How can this bug be reproduced? no one knows... I have this bug (and now in build 800) after I changed in some downloads their "download properties". Think you should open many windows as you can in program (options, properties, etc., even about) many times. And wait. Oh. And you need to ins...

Or make ut possible to choose small or large icons which is pretty standard these days on a lot of software. Also, I would really like to be able to customize the toolbar. Dial-up related buttons is something I absolutely do not need anymore.

Floppy disk on the FDM icon.
Hi, The FDM icon looks really good, but it actually has a floppy disk one it! My kids do not even know what that is! Maybe it's time to change that to something more current? :) I know this isn't very important, but my son was asking me about it today and I had to look up floppy disks and show him t...

Is there a way to force FDM to recheck torrent downloads?
Hi, With large bittorrent downloads that gets interrupted it can often be a good idea to force the client to recheck partly downloaded torrents. I see that if you do a clean install of FDM and put a partially downloaded torrent in the download directory and load the original torrent a recheck takes ...

Adding torrent to group doesn't add it to the group folder.
Hi,
When I click on a torrent file and get the FDM dialog the right folder is not selected when I choose the group for download. This works fine with other downloads.
Running build 796 since the download link for 797 doesn't work.

Are you saying FDM give you broken downloads? That have never happened to me. It's the only DM I have ever used which consistently offers rock solid downloads.

Re: Want to suggest example
For example such type of scheduling is greatly implemented in µTorrent. If you'll implement this feature FDM will be the best download manager I ever worked with. Wish you *high-quality* inspiration. Exactly! FDM would the the only "one stop shop" downloader around. There's no way around bittorrent...

Something that doesn't appear to be listed already and that FDM doesn't appear to have is a hotkey to prevent FDM downloading a file. There's an option under the Monitoring tab which says "ALT must be pressed" to allow FDM to catch downloads. What I would like to see is something similar for ignori...
