Apologies for only replying now, the FDM board does not send notifications for replies.
It is not a huge train smash, I don't recall it always having been this way so thought there was a possibility that either it's a setting either in the app or regional settings, or an environment variable, etc.

Hope someone here can help or point in a direction as to why the what could/would cause the file system path separating character to be shown as a forward slash e.g. Save to: C:/Users/MyWindowsUsername/Downloads

So far so good...I'll report back in a day or 2 but it's working as expected now and not causing conflicts with Gmail etc.

Hi MisterJ, I'm pretty confident to say that it has nothing to do with center clicking on buttons or the pop up blocker. Sites just don't work. Unfortunately FDM does not seem to play nice with IE10...
I tracked down the following thread of another person detailing their finding that things weren't working then removing FDM resolved all the issues.
