I got it working now. That is, when I press alt-click on the file to be downloaded in Chrome, FDM is skipped.

OK, I found the solution: remove "run as administrator".

Can't make it work, but I found out that one can bypass FDM by using alt-click on the file to be downloaded.

Edit: I just realized that the feature applies only to IE and Firefox.
