Free Download Manager vs. Malwarebytes
This is not a complaint, just a question: Any idea as to why, each time that I open Malwarebytes to run a scan, Free Download Manager reports that there are no pending downloads? This does not seem to have any deleterious effect, it is just an oddity that I wonder about.

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
Windows 10, Avast! 11.1.2253, Comodo Firewall 8.2.0.4792, FDM 3.9.7, Build 1525 monitoring Firefox 44.0.2. I cannot download through FDM. Downloads start "Starting download," then "Opening file on the disk...", "Access denied," "Stopped." I have to disable mon...

All Downloads Blocked
Windows 10, Avast! 11.1.2253, Comodo Firewall 8.2.0.4792, FDM 3.9.7, Build 1525 monitoring Firefox 44.0.2. Problem started after using PCMover to move files and applications from a Windows 7 Home Premium computer to a new Windows 10 Home computer. As expected, not all programs survived the move, whi...

Re: Download Problem with UserID and Password
Since you said it worked in IE that would mean it's the Browser fault not FDM. Even if that is so, then what caused it? I am not arguing that perhaps Fx improperly passed the information to FDM, as I have no idea who FDM browser monitoring works, just asking how the failure might have been generate...

Download Problem with UserID and Password
This is not a complaint, just two questions. I am Using FDM 3.9.6, build 1614, and Windows 7 Home Premium, with FDM set to monitor Firefox 43.0.3. Yesterday, I tried several times to download a software program that required me to insert a UserID and Password to access the file. Each time, FDM would...

Re: Firefox 37.0 vs. FDM
Can you see my signature? Now, yes, but previously I was focused on the text of your message. I often ignore sigs, as they so often contain nothing but extraneous and meaningless content. No insult intended to you, Usher: The apparent failure of FDM was the first time I had even encountered a probl...

Re: Firefox 37.0 vs. FDM
Do you mean standard Firefox disclaimer (see FDM FAQ about install.rdf) or real incompatibility? Could you provide more details without being asked, please? I cannot say that I understood your message; for example, you ask if I could provide more details without being asked, which linguistically ma...

Firefox 37.0 vs. FDM
I am using FDM 3.9.4 Build 1485, which has FDM plugin 1.6.0.9. I assume that that plugin is the latest; if so, then it is incompatible with Fx 37.0, which was released today.

Re: Incompatible with release version of Firefox 29.0
Gosh, I had to wait until this morning to find that a new version of FDM had been released, and then, after installing it and telling it to monitor Firefox, FDM told me that I would have to enable FDM in Fx, and now FDM has a nice new feature that opens Fx and takes you to the Add-ons page, and FDM ...

Incompatible with release version of Firefox 29.0
Add-ons Manager reports that Free Download Manager Plugin 1.6.0.1 is incompatible with Fx 29.0. This may be similar to the Fx Add-ons system reporting that the Noia Fox 3 theme is incompatible with Fx 28; that is accurate, but what is inaccurate is not allowing this theme to be installed when the Fx...

Re: Firefox 13 vs. FDM Plugin 1.5.7
Current FDM plugin is 1.5.7.4, so perhaps you should install newest FDM version before sending your post. Do as follows: - close Firefox; - turn off Firefox monitoring in FDM; - run Firefox, check that FDM plugin is removed from FDM extensions and close Firefox again; - install the newest FDM versi...

Firefox 13 vs. FDM Plugin 1.5.7
Firefox will state that the FDM plugin is incompatible with version 13. Perhaps 1.5.7 is incompatible, but as I just downloaded two files, one a YouTube video, the other a small application, and as both downloads commenced automatically as soon as I clicked on them from within Firefox 13, I consider...

Yes, FDM is blocked, but that can be bypassed, at least with the nightly releases of Minefield. I don't know if this works with the beta releases. 1. In Minefield, open about:config. 2. In the Filter box, enter extenions.blocklist.enabled. 3. When you find that entry, toggle it to false. 4. Close ab...

I read your reply, right-clicked, no crash--nor have there been any crashes since my last update to FDM, including the replacement of the FDM extension in Minefield. I don't know if it was my update to FDM, or my then replacing the extension, as I did both at much the same time; that is, I did not f...

On the other hand, the forum software might be having a bit of a problem: Despite my having been logged on to the forum, my reply to you about the latest version of FDM working with Minefield, my reply was posted as being from Guest. Had it called me "Guess," well, that might have been more accurate...
