The latest 3.9.7 build 1638 would not install the Firefox 3.0.3 extension in FF57 32 or 64 bit versions. And version 5 would not install the extension in the 64 bit version of FF57. Every time I open and close FF, a firefox *32 process is left open. Disabling the FDM extension stops this from happening. Yes, making the suggested changes to chrome.manifest got it working again with FF V21.0. I suggest that ongoing you incorporate the lines that allow versions older than 22 to work. I quit updating because of the changes they made to display scaling in V22 - screwed up too many of the web sites I use.
