Key to bypass FDM
Hi! Going through the settings I didn't seem to find any key (or key combo) that when pressed while clicking on a link would cause FDM to ignore it so it can be downloaded with the browser...
for example ctrl+shift+click = the browser downloads the file instead of FDM.
is there such an option????

Re: FDM Not catching downloads on one site
you should stop using the "webext is shit" excuse, other download managers work VERY good with the new firefox 57 and UP, like AntDM or IDM, for example.

Re: FDM Not catching downloads on one site
So, that's your answer? use another browser? wow! Anyway, here's another problem FDM won't catch any downlaods here https://www.wintools.info/index.php/download#Win10AllSettings moreover, if I right click on a link and select "download with FDM", FDM downloads a file called "index&quo...

Re: FDM Not catching downloads on one site
Moreover, if you right click and select "download with free download manager", then all hell breaks loose, FDM enters a loop trying to download a .php file and it opens dozens of progress windows and it doesn't actually download anything. after a while I decided to give FDM another try, bu...

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
I don't know if it's just me, but since the extension was made compatible with FDM 3.9.x again I decided to give it another try, but unfortunately, the old problems I had before are still there, the extension fails to catch download on too many sites. It works, but not on every site...I'm using exte...

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
I know It might sound a little extreme, but I have my reasons. FDM5 just has TOO MANY problems. For example: The new "modern" metro-like interfrace is just hideous. It uses A LOT more RAM than v3.9x There's no option for auto-cleaning the finished downloads. IT does NOT get the file dates ...

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
the last working extension is 3.0.6. Stick to that one if you want the random downloads to stop. Plus it still works with FDM v3.9.
Versions after 3.0.11 don't work with v3.9, which is a BIG PROBLEM, since FDM v5.x is a piece of crap.

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
The problem is that, even if they fix the issues, they won't do any good if FDM3 is not updated to work with newer versions of the extension.
There are A TON of reasons why I refuse to use FDM5...

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
FDM 5.1.36.7160 release notes say "new extension". Well, I got news for you: it's the same extension v3.0.11 and it suffers from the same problems: - Doesn't catch clicks on several sites (I've almost given up on this...) - it is still downloading random images. Once again, I had to go bac...

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
Yes, I'm running v3.9.7 I suspect your manual actions have been incomplete and you have still WebExt 3.0.3 in use in Firefox startup cache. See FDM FAQ how to remove older FDM extensions, and in the end of your actions do as follows: * Make sure you have closed Firefox, turn off Firefox monitoring ...
