FDM 6 powered by Qt 6.x
Re: FDM 6 powered by Qt 6.x
I added an image today displaying an issue with rendering of the popup download dialog box.
Closing and starting FDM fixed it.
If I can grab images of other failures, I'll continue to add to the album and notify here in this thread.

Re: FDM 6 powered by Qt 6.x
I added another image which actually shows the minimized download box. With the QT5 version, I was able to hit Enter to accept the download and start downloading. With QT6, it is completely unresponsive, and I have to close FDM and start it again and then try the download again to get it going.

Re: FDM 6 powered by Qt 6.x
I'm using it as my daily driver lol. These same issues were happening on FDM (qt5) so I'm not too worried. Whenever it happens, I just exit from FDM and re-start it and all is fine.

We're in the process of switching to a newer version of the framework we use.
We would like you to help us in this. We need your feedback.
We especially recommend to try out this version for those users who experience random crashes / graphic glitches.
Please download and install this FDM6 Qt6 x86_64 build for Windows 10+.
Hi i have been running into the issue of it keep crashing and after downloading the version you suggested it still crashes less than a minute after running. It was running fine butt suddenly statred again any help please. I really like using Free Downloadmanager and dont want to move to another download manager.

Hello,
Please provide us with some details regarding this issue.
1. Do you have any active downloads (including seeding torrents) during this crash?
2. Does FDM show you a window about crash? Does OS show you a window about FDM crash?

Re: FDM 6 powered by Qt 6.x
One other thing that might be relevant: You said it was working fine at first and then started crashing.
To me, that also might be indicative of some other 3rd party software interfering with FDM.
Are you using any cleaning apps / bloat removal apps that might be cleaning out the FDM database? Is any of your anti-malware software perhaps locking the FDM database files for scanning when you start a download?
@Alex - other than those visual issues in the pics I've posted, it seems to work perfectly fine thus far.
I also did another clean install over the weekend and it picked back up right where it left off because I copied all the relevant files back to their appropriate locations.

@Alex: Added this image to the same album from before.

This only happened for the first time ever when I rebooted my PC this morning.

Hello,
I'm pretty sure it's a Qt bug. However, we can't submit report until we can reproduce it.

I don't let the computer go to sleep, but I do lock the computer when I am away for an extended time.
All the aberrations in the photo album happen after coming back from an extended away period, so that may be part of the issue.
As far as anything else you need from me, let me know, I'll do my best to provide any information I can.
Also, is there a debug option anywhere in these Qt 6 based builds? I'm not averse to running the build in debug mode all the time to gather extended data on what exactly is happening, since (some of) these types of errors were also occurring on the qt 5 based builds too.

Hello,
Unfortunately, there is nothing to track down such issues for now. However, I think it's something related to your video card/buggy driver. Maybe updating one could help.
