Why not click the active tab, then you can select the check box at the top to select all file active and restart them.

Bug:
If you enable edge monitoring on a pre Windows 10 machine, then the winpfmonitor.exe process consumes excessive CPU cycles and brings network transfers to a crawl. On my machine it brought it from 116 MB/s to 4 MB/s. Took a while to trace that down.

Disabling the edge monitoring fixed the problem.

Feature:

This product is fast getting to be very nice. The only feature missing that is still required is site management of passwords.

Then I would select 2000 files that are listed and restart all? Then FDM starts them and I loose nearly 2000 done downloads? I only want to select all files that are not fully downloaded and resume them. But how? I think this option is missing?!

LOG FILE

Mar 25, 2016 15:05:00 Added download
Mar 25, 2016 15:25:55 Starting download

After 1 day the FDM forgets the time, when Download was added. Therefore please add the time to log. See my suggestion above. Thank you.

(Background: some downloads get invalid after some hours, 24 hrs. or some days. How can I know the time when I added the download?)

All (2230)
Active (12)
Uncompleted (2099)
Completed (2099)

Would appreciate it to see all files that are Uncompleted and maybe need my action (e.g. click to resume).

For completed downloads, where can I set fdm to not list them any more? In FDM 5.0 Preview (Build 4726) there was an option "Automatically remove completed downloads from list."

Thank you.

If the file are not fully downloaded then remove all of the files that *are* fully downloaded from the complete section.

It shows only 12 active - wouldn't those be incomplete?

Incomplete are 131 files among 2230. So hard to find them :?

Delete from disk

After chosen "Delete from disk" please show a question like "Really delete x files?" in case one has choosen it in error or by wrong handling.

This question could also be helpful for "Remove from list". Thank you very much.

But the incomplete files should not show on the completed tab. They should show on the active tab and all tab.

On my machine, for example, it works that way. So I go to complete tab, remove all completed, and then only have left the incomplete ones.

Also, I have the setting for deleting list set to ask me every time, and I always select delete from list, and it does not delete from disk, only the list.

I'm using the 5.1.6.3387 version (x64).
I also forgot to mention (my apology) that I was talking about "Working Set" section of "Resource Monitor > Memory > Processes".

And, I also have it set as ask me everytime, but FDM seems to not follow the selected option (not always).

****

Is it possible to make FDM's downloading speed "dynamic"?

What I meant by dynamic, is that, FDM will download at the highest possible download speed/bandwidth it gets from the connection(s) unless some other processes (like, browsers) are requesting bandwidth at the same time. When other processes requests bandwidths, FDM will dynamically reduce its bandwidth limit and let others use as they needed, and after that when bandwidth is freed from other processes, FDM will use the freed bandwidth again as it needs.

I know there are processes like limiting traffics, snail mode. But as I see FDM doesn't respect those limits. Though it shows the using speed/bandwidth as set, but behind the scene it uses the whole available bandwidth.
How?
Just after un-limiting the traffic limit, FDM will show the average of it speed, which will be more than available, which is the average of its previous (hidden uses) and current uses.
And also, while limiting the traffic, looking at 'Resource Monitor (Windows)' it's clearly seen that FDM still uses the full bandwidth while being limited.

Thanks :)

Along with the previous reply, No I don't use FDM for torrent purposes, thus no seeding is happening.

Thanks :)

OK, in RM I see working set is 128,792. However, take a look at this blog http://getgreenshot.org/2010/07/24/a-fe ... rking-set/ as well as this Microsoft link http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... =windows-7

As for the files deleting instead of being removed only from the interface, I do not have that problem. Have you tried uninstalling it, clearing out the directories (and if you're inclined, registry) and then reinstalling it freshly with the current build to see if it continues?

As for automatic speed, that would be a good thing to have - I might add that as a RFF in my FDM 5.1 beta RFF topic below as an option, if you'd like to vote on it.

Ok, I get it. Working Set = Shareable + Private. Where Private is the actual usage, and shareable is somewhat reserved but can be released if others need them. :)

I've installed the 5.1.7, and seems like the deleting problem is okay right now, though I'll keep an eye on it, and will notify again if something behave weird again. :)

And, I've visited your FDM 5.x Feature Request (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17410) thread, and there are features I would love to have (like, Hash Checking, Floating Monitor, File Mirrors), but will vote untill 'Dynamic Speed Management' is added, as it says only 3 votes can be cast (only 3 is kinda restrictive, but I'm sure there must be some reason behind this).

Thanks :)

In the log files, all the information, including the date and time of downloads, is stored unchanged. Could you please give us an example where the time info became invalid?
