PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
Yes, they have. Now Youtube preloads (and starts playing) video before loading full webpage. Youtube parser in the latest FDM 3.9.7 can't find video title to use it in the download name. It shows only format tags…BRAC wrote:Not sure if they have changed Youtube functionality.

Yes, I've noticed that too. The actual player pops up before anything else. Never knew it would interfere with FDM though. But it's very inconsistent--some videos work, some don't.
Also, on a side note, it seems Google or whoever is behind it are going all out in banning movies/videos which were earlier available, on copyright grounds etc, even those from the last millennium. It makes sense when they pull down recent ones but those which no longer have any resale value on the big screens is going a bit over the top. I guess, being filthy rich is never sufficient for some.
Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
Using Firefox 52.4.1 ESR 32 bit on Windows 10 64 bit.
Upgraded to FDM version 5.1.33 [build 6791, Oct 27, 2017] and it came with a new Free Download Manager extension version 3.0.3 which does not work well. When I select several images to download there is no longer a Download selected with FDM option when I right click like there was when using 5.1.32 [build 6573, Jul 26, 2017] which used Free Download Manager extension version 2.2.3, The only option that is available is Download with FDM and it almost always just chooses the first file selected and downloads only that single file and not all of the other files selected. Occasionally the Download with FDM option will bring up a dialog box that will allow me to download all of the selected file.
I have uninstalled FDM and reinstalled the newest version 5.1.33 [build 6791, Oct 27, 2017] with Free Download Manager extension version 3.0.3 several times and it always has very severe problems downloading a group of selected files. Every time I reinstalled the older version 5.1.32 [build 6573, Jul 26, 2017] which used Free Download Manager extension version 2.2.3 the Download selected with FDM option is available and everything works well.

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
I too am having SERIOUS issues with the new FDM 3.9.7 build 1638 and 3.0.3 plugin both with Firefox 57.0b14 and also previously with Nightly 58 which I have now uninstalled
I am using Windows 10 Pro (x64) Fall Creators Update Version 1709 (OS build 16299.19)
With nightly I found that the new FDM update was sometimes capturing image links on some webpages I visited and opening its add download window and wanting to download the image. If I cancelled, it sometimes tried again and again at a few minutes intervals. Every time I opened the add download window manually the unwanted URL link was showing at the top (seems there is no way to clear/delete these links unfortunately) . The only way I have found to stop the link showing is to copy another URL link to my clipboard and then that is the one shown
At first I thought I had a virus or trojan (even though highly unlikely with my installed protection, and none of my protection app scans found malware or viruses.
I then restored an Aomei backup that was made before I installed the latest FDM and plugin. At first, I thought maybe that had dealt with issue but I was incorrect as it has returned after updating FDM
I did find one link that FDM AUTOMATICALLY opened the add download window for was an image link on a webpage I had visited (Avast and Firefox did not flag that site as suspicious.
I reverted to using Firefox 57.0b14 but it too has one issued that Nightly did. Namely when you go to the Firefox Add-ons and choose to install an add-on FDM opens it add download page and wished to download the add-on's .xpi file even though Firefox installs the add-on automatically as usual (except FF57. Why is FDM getting ivovled and trying to download the .xpi.
I am guessing all my issues are related to the FDM plugin 3.0.3. and they ar e areal nuisance
Whilst I am writing this post, Firefox has just opened its Add download window with URL https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8mlsYvnxkBg/ ... ection.png
This particular example of the issue came from a webpage I visited a few minutes ago: https://thehackernews.com/2017/06/windo ... ction.html ( i visited to find the URL so I could giver it to you in this post)
I may have clicked (or right clicked) on the image (not sure) but I certainly did not try to download it or open FDM and try so why does FDM open its Add Downlaoid window with the image URL and want to download?
If I cancel why does the FDM add download window open again with that same URL a few minutes later.
Clearly there is something very wrong and urgent advice or solution ( to avoid me needing to uninstalling FDM) will be greatly appreciated. Nothing else on my PC has behaved strangely recently so this all seems down to FDM's interaction with the latest FDM 57+ update and FF57 (or nightly).

With reference to my last (above) post
Hi another crazy situation has just occurred
Go to http://www.eagleget.com/ (not trying to be funny or clever FDM 3.9.7 is the best for me for years. I just visited other downloaders in case you cannot resolve).
If you select the Forum Tab (others work as expected) Firefox open with a blank page and the FDM Add Download window opens with http://forum.eagleget.com/ in the top URL box.
I don't know what is going on. FDM seems to be catching URL links and opening the add Download Window (as IT pleases, as well as those I actually want it to)
For extra information:Opera Developer browser using Chrome extension 2.1.42 opens the Forum as expected.

Well, it's definitely weird. The same happens with FDM 3.9.7 build 1638, Firefox 52.4.1 ESR 32-bit, FDM extension 3.0.3, but no problem with thehackernews page linked earlier.FDM01 wrote:If you select the Forum Tab (others work as expected) Firefox open with a blank page and the FDM Add Download window opens with http://forum.eagleget.com/ in the top URL box.

Thanks for your investigations and extra observations. I did note with the Eagleget Forum tab issue that by disabling the FDM Plugin the tab opened to the Forum as it should.
Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
When I want to subscribe to an RSS feed in Firefox while using the Firefox integration (in Firefox 57 Beta), FDM always tries to download the RSS feed, but I want to view it in Firefox, not download it. Sample URL: http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/blog/?feed=rss2
This also happens when I'm not using FDM and the add-on is installed - Firefox then tries to download the feed instead of displaying it (must be a problem with the add-on, because it works when it's deactivated). Hope you understand my problem.
I'm using the latest version of FDM and the FF add-on (installed directly through FDM).
