This is not bug. Notification window is closed automatically once download is launched.

I think you are referring to a different notification window. The one I am referring to is a small notification window right above the Windows XP "tray area", to be shown on download completion, NOT on download launch. One can configure its presentation (timeout too) as I explained in my post above. Again I say that this used to work properly some versions ago.

Joseph A wrote:One interesting thing (is it a feature or a bug?) is that FDM acts differently according to the file type, at least in Internet Explorer 8. If I download an .exe file, I go directly to the FDM window, but if it is a .zip file I go to the Windows XP window first and only after pressing its save button does the FDM window appear.

It seems it's IE's behavior. Can you give me some example link(s)?

I guess it might be. Internet Explorer treats files differently, as it requires a user download confirmation for certain "dangerous" files (like .exe) and not for other "safer" file types. This may possibly make FDM to behave differently.

As an example, I give you two links, one for the .exe type and the other for the .zip type, both from the same site to avoid other influencing factors:

1) http://mirror.cs.wisc.edu/pub/mirrors/ghost/ghostgum/gsv49w32.exe
2) http://mirror.cs.wisc.edu/pub/mirrors/ghost/ghostgum/gsv49os2.zip

On the other hand, this may not have anything to do with "dangerous" file types in IE8, but rather with .zip files in FDM (perhaps to do with FDM's preview option, which I have disabled, by the way). I say this because I have just tried the following file and it worked without the intervening save button, just like the .exe type:

http://mirror.cs.wisc.edu/pub/mirrors/ghost/ghostgum/gsview-4.9.tar.gz.

Any chance of getting hotfile.com to work with this new release?

Hi,

I have tested FDM and I have found out that when I open a page with Flash content in IE 8 with FDM installed. When I use firefox it works good. This only happens with IE 8. Is this a know bug ?

Wow, it's nice to see that FDM 3.5 is entered RC stage, it's been a while since the last time I checked this project and I thought it was discontinued. You should update something at the frontpage lol :)

Keep up the great work guys :)

@Devs: I have a question...

Is it possible to add trackers to the .torrent files? Or add that feature in the future.
This is basically my all in one download manager and I don't intend on using other programs.
This rocks..
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, thanks for the good work from me too. FDM is the 1st. Choice for me, for Downloadmanagers.

Hello there,

In Google Chrome, when you hit to download and press cancel, FDM won't let the browser download the file itself. I've tried to tick the option related to this(but for IE), without success as well.

I'm using latest version of chrome 6.0

Thanks

Internet explorer 8 keeps on crashing when 'capture flash video' is turned on and the curser is on the flash picture. try: -www.symantec.com- (version 3.5 build 928)

i havent been able to use FDM anymore because there is no hotfile support. I really miss this program, having hotfile support would be awesome

Please implement this feature:

When using Bittorrent, inside the torrent detail, allow multiple files to be selected at once so they can be given higher priority or not downloaded.
