The download folder doesn't stick i.e I change the default download to download folder on desktop but everytime I download anything the download folder mentioned is the fdm default & so everytime I have to select my download folder on desktop.
Similarly for video download.

And would be good if there is a notification when download completes/fails/errors.

And I miss the transparent floating window with downloads info like in FDM3. Would be good if its there in this version.

Slight issue with selecting a virus scanning app using FDM 5 Preview, build 4520, OS is Windows 8.1:

I had 'Predefined antivirus application' selected, which autodetected I had avast! installed (correct). I pressed apply though, and it told me it couldn't find the virus scanning app and automatically brought up the file select dialogue. However, upon selection of the file, the Custom antivirus application field remained blank. I had to click on the [...] button to the right of the field and select the virus scanning executable from that dialogue before it worked.

Hopefully that helps. This is in no way a complaint, just trying to help you guys detect bugs since I love the project!

Hello, I just want to say that this version is awesome. Thank you so much for your efforts. I have two suggestions. First is the virus check option. For me, a windows 8 user, Windows Defender is all i need for protection. The virus check predefined list is awesome, but theres no windows defender in the list. I googled it and found the executable and the arguments for the virus check, but if it's there, it'll be awesome. "C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MpCmdRun.exe -scan -scantype 3 -file %file%"
My second suggestion is the delete icon on the main window. Delete icon not only deletes downloaded file from the list, it also deletes from the disk!. While using the FDM5, one or two downloads i did was completely disappeared!!!. I think delete icon should just delete from the FDM Downloads list and if i want to delete a file from the disk, i should right click and delete it.
Finally, i congrats for the app and can't wait to see the actual release.

We are planning to include the mentioned deleting feature implementation in one of the upcoming builds.
As for the Windows Defender: thanks for letting us know that's an option. We will be adding that one in the future as well, may be not as soon as the first one, though.

I am using the latest bulid in Windows 10 Preview. Works and looks great. However:
1) Please add again the floating windows wich shows the download progress
2) The option to choose between light, medium and heavy use (unless this option is available and i haven't noticed it).
3) A stop button should be added (or is the pause button enough?).

These are the first things that I noticed compared to FDM 3.9.5. But generally it looks fine.

1) This feature is not yet on our TO-DO,
2) There already is this option at the bottom center of the window (where you can see the download/upload speeds). Please let us know if you can't find it.
3) The pause button essentially plays the role of the stop button. The only real difference is with .torrent files -- to fully "stop" the torrent, you can also make use of the context menu where you can untick "Enable seeding" to prevent possible upload traffic.

OK, thank you for the feature suggestion! It's been added to our list.

After using this FDM 5 Preview on my PC overall it runs smooth and easy to use but there are several point that maybe need to be improve better in the next update :
- when I generating download link that would be appear loading screen gear rotating covering all FDM window and often too long to process I cant cancel or back to the main window.
- after a couple week after booting the FDM appears error dialog box that said "the download database may corupt" or something cannot load the download history of mine.

would like future update of FDM with much improvised feature and performance
