FDM 5.1

What location do you mean, specifically?
Making a portable version is in our future plans: thus, the settings will migrate with FDM executable, in the same folder. But I can't find any reason to move the settings for an installed app. Your user's AppData is the common place for app data (if you speak about the Windows version).
If we move settings to somewhere else, how to locate them? Via some registry key? It's an additional complexity. So, what for?
Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
With v5.1.4 [build 2996, Feb 19, 2016] the option to 'remove from list' is actually deleting the downloaded file.
I have set the default to 'remove from list' and the file is deleted.
I tried the option for the program to always ask and when I was asked I clicked 'remove from list' and the file was still deleted.
(The delete option works as expected).

Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
Refresh Link for current downloads will be a great addition for scenarios where sometimes some servers limits the link of a download to a certain time period, and after that time period the link must be refreshed but the file stays identical.
If the file is partially downloaded (lets say 90%), as of FreeDownloadManager's current processing user have to re-download the file from the beginning, and for very large files, it's frustrating.
It would be great if the link can be refreshed/changed as needed for current downloads.
A somewhat scenario will be, if the user want to refresh/change the link for a ongoing download, the link will be added and FDM will match the current file and the new link's file's info, and if they match FDM will accept the new link and continue as usual.
Thanks

Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
Remove from list still deletes YouTube downloads, rather than simply removing them from the list in build 3001.
The behaviour in the video below still occurs:

Signed up for an account. The above problem is still occurring for YouTube videos. Downloading a file from other websites (eg. The FDM installer) doesn't have this issue.

I agree with you, I don't see the option to set the Default Download folder. All is downloaded to the Windows Download Folder.
