Okay guys, I'm just now starting to try and download torrents and it's not going so well. I've been able to get one successfully from a magent link, that's the only kind I've been able to get to work at all. In the Log tab it'll say 2 peers received, or 1 peer received, then just sits there for a long time and does nothing. When I look at the Torrents tab it always say 0 seeds. Does that have something to do with it?

I'm flying blind here and looking for advice from someone who has more experience so I can get it to work. So far the whole thing seems very unreliable. Thanks.

Turn on all bittorrent features (strongly recommended for magnet links) in FDM settings and wait for other peers... Or look for newer torrents or go to torrent forums and ask for seeding...

Note that peer-to-peer exchange was never claimed stable and reliable. You can expect fast download for new or very popular torrents only. Old torrents may be completely dead (old tracker sites don't exist any more) or incomplete (all active peers have the same parts of torrent, noone seeds the full torrent). Some torrents may be seeded only in a specific time of day (f.e. nightly) or week (f.e. at weekends).

Thanks for that info Usher, it's helpful. I enabled cookies for the sites where I'm trying to download and that seems to be the magic bullet. I'm getting the downloads now at least.

Some sites may also require Javascript enabled...
