Firefox 40+ extension Release Candidate version

Well, download flash video isn't work for me. The browser version is Firefox nightly 42.0a1 x64 edition build 20150804030204 with e10s on running on Windows 10 build 10240, FDM is version 3.9.6.1612. Browser extension is correctly installed and monitor flash video is on, but I tried with some video sites in my country(not YouTube because I'm in a country where YouTube is forbidden) and it doesn't work.
Re: Firefox 40+ extension Release Candidate version
Flash video monitoring works with 32bit browsers only.

I tried using Firefox 40.0 RC 2 with virtually the same setup as you, only with a profile that I have been using with about 35 extensions.
I already had 3.9.6 build 1559 installed, and then installed 3.9.6 build 1612 in a separate folder (v2.0.11 now displayed in addon manager)
I went to youtube, which worked, then tried your first link, which did not work.
I hope I did the next step correct. I swapped out the flvsniff.dll from 3.9.6 build 1612 with the one from build 1559. Now the linked page from usher worked properly.
flvsniff.dll version now is 1.0.1040.0, but my addon manager still shows v2.0.11??
If you like I can try with fresh profile later

So can you tell me when selecting "monitor flash videos" in FDM what other extensions are installed? Are they dll based?

Hello,
Just tried - found videos on all the pages. One thing - it does NOT show "download video" button for some unknown reason. Does the old extension show the button?
To download video you'll have to use context menu "Download video with FDM".

It doesn't work with the new extension in ANY way, It works both ways with the old one.
Tested on a clean Windows XP user profile with clean Firefox 39 cache and clean FDM download list and history.
Tested also flvsniff.dll builds 1040 and 1058, both don't work with the new extension.
Have you cleaned startup cache in your Firefox?

Seems to be fixed now. But the button is still not showing on the sites you specified. We'll look into the issue later.

Re: Firefox 40+ extension Release Candidate version
It's better now, but not completely fixed yet.
1. Works only with right click, no button, one more site linked to compare with the previous ones:
http://technowinki.onet.pl/oprogramowan ... ida/1302xw
2. Doesn't work properly with embedded video from Youtube. No button, right click doesn't find video:
http://pclab.pl/art49079.html
Maybe you should change the button location or always show it as I suggested in "Chasing Disappearing icon" topic?

Re: Firefox 40+ extension Release Candidate version
New extension is based on Firefox Add-on SDK. It's buggy. So the problem is not going to be fixed in the next days...
Events from flash video object are just not coming as they does in the old extension. That is why the button is not showing.

Re: Firefox 40+ extension Release Candidate version
Thanks for the explanation. Maybe you can find and reuse some code from FlashGot or SaveFrom.net if their licenses allow to do it.

You forgot to resign the FDM extension for Firefox. Remember, if your addon is not published in AMO, every time you update it you have to resign it via AMO.
Re: Firefox 40+ extension Release Candidate version
Hi Alex & team
Thanks very much for the Updated FDM and Firefox Plugin. It's really great being able to use FDM again with FF 40 Beta rather than resorting to other lesser app (or on in my case the flashgot addon workaround)
