Import URL from Text File (Batch URL Download)

Postby Venantius » Thu May 03, 2018 3:32 pm

It may be convenient to offer to batch download, using method such as:
1. Add context menu to download all links in a page (like flashgot extension in mozilla)
2. Ability to mport URL from text files (.txt)

Both features are implemented in FDM, just do check menu options more carefully, please.

Care to elaborate more? About how to find menu options which:
- related to import url form text file or
- ability to batch url downloading (usualy via context menu on browser)

Currently using FDM version 5.1.35.7092 (fe70279) on Windows 7 x64. I'm can't find menu which related to that.
Using "add download icon/button" => url or .torrent files only, can't open/import text files.
FDM context menu on browser => only single url which selected, can't fetch all url on page.

it is just recently implemented
during the time it's posted, it is still in voting phase, because I remember that's what I voted and asked before

Still haven't tried using import text option, but I don't think text import as what OP states is available ye

There's already similar fuctionality. Do you mean an option to import by selecting a file in FDM?

Kinda, for example i have 20 links written row by row in a text file. I want to add these links directly to FDM without any addon or necessity of copy/paste one by one.

Well, that's an interesting thing to work further on. Thanks for bringing it up.

I guess this functionality is already there. There is an option in Menu "Paste urls from clipboard". I had these urls in a text file as mentioned by dark000, then copied it on clipboard and choose this option and done. :)

The only problem was I was not able to choose quality of video which I am in case I paste one url at a time. If this feature is available, please help me.

Also I started using FDM today only, so I was wondering if there is some help documents to use it. I couldn't find any so far. :(
