Any help with this

https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_ ... NC1901.pdf

the federal government

I want to download all the soil surveys for the state of north carolina...
this is the first one, but they only let you see the manuscript
each manuscript has a number of maps that go with it, but they dont let you know that cause they dont want you downloading the maps.... presumably cause of the bandwith, but the maps are the most important part
the manuscript is damn near useless without them
so....

if you manually strip the url down one layer you expose the content of the folder, in this case alamanceNC1901

https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_ ... nceNC1901/

this url will show the contents of the folder and that in this easy case there is only 1 map file
some may have as many as 50 maps... oh and every map is named map 1 so if you get them mixed up you are screwed

but if you click up one directory you dont get a file explorer, but a web page which also hides the maps

if you manually strip the next level of the url you should get the directory of all of the folders in north carolina

https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_ ... _carolina/
but you dont, you get that same web page and

if you manually strip the next level to

https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_MANUSCRIPTS/

you should get a directory with all the states, but you dont, you get 403 forbidden

i want to download the entire file structure inside of the north carolina folder

any ideas?

I was hoping the html spider or site explorer feature would do this, but i cant figgure how to use it

Hello. Are there no direct links to collections of files you wish to download? Only the page ones?
You can highlight and select multiple links. In FDM 5, at least, it worked when you selected multiple links, then, opened the context menu - there's an option "Download selected with FDM". Or you can copy the links from the page to the clipboard.
