FDM 5.1
Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
Long awaited default file location and catch link without confirmation got added, along with the few other stuffs. This should make FDM more comfortable to use.
So, far everything thing seems stable and found no bugs.

Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
FDM is very slow, getting the URL, entering another filename to be stored and also downloading. I monitored the download of the 32 bit version of FDM itself and it took 5 Minutes(!) to download 38MB. Process Monitors Log reveals that there are (unnecessary) checks on all files in the history (before, during and after download).
I'm not sure if this is the indented behaviour!?
FDM 3.9 was pretty much faster!
Best Regards
CC
PS: an option to rename a downloaded file in FDM's history as it used to exist in the previous version would be very helpfull

1. It doesn't see Chrome and provided me a link to install it. I already have Chrome installed. v3.9.7 saw Chrome OK.
2. It doesn't work at all in Firefox or IE, but it works for Edge.
3. It leaves a big windows open instead of the small, neat download window that v3.9.7 had and a small transparent viewer.
I am sorry to say that it is a big step backwards.
Wrong, wrong and right.
I have FDM 5.1.x working on Chrome, Chrome beta, Chrome developer *and* Chrome Canary.
I also have it working on Firefox 45 and Nightly 49.0a1.

Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
Hi!
Just (yet another) beta report:
1) Ehm...where's the EULA???
FDM didn't present me, any EULA to accept and I couldn't find it at installation directory.
2) Many settings, seems to be missing!
(Eg. I can't see the interface language setting).

Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
please add the option to get/set file date/time from server, like in FDM 3.9.7.
also please add the option to automatically cleanup the download list when the download is complete.

Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
I cannot find the scheduler in 5.1. Is it missing? That's the most important feature IMO.

Using Qt is a BIG mistake..
Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
v5.1.13 didn't delete temp files in installed folder after update!
Re: FDM 5.1 Beta

Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
hi, another huge bug, if FDM Browser Integration is enabled for Edge, some Windows 10 Store Apps that depend on Microsoft Edge cannot be run, those apps would just open, stuck at loading main menu screen for awhile and then close itself. example: Facebook, Messenger, TeamViewer: Remote Control, etc.
just untick FDM Browser Integration for Edge, or close winwfpmonitor.exe, or disable via Task Scheduler
FreeDownloadManagerNetworkMonitor
C:\Program Files\FreeDownloadManager.ORG\Free Download Manager\winwfpmonitor.exe
would make those apps work again.

Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
Things I like from ver 3 that are not in ver 5:
Add the option to automatically cleanup the download list when the download is complete.
Select your own extension on downloads that are busy.
Option to always preallocate disk space for any file size.
Ability to make windows size even smaller.

Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
I`m using FDM Mac Version 5.1.13.4039 and I`m observing how slow FDM is downloading. So I used Xtreme Download Manager 4.7 (best version for me) side-by-side also just to see the behavior and it`s very, very quick as always.
Please, may you compare this? Thanks.

Re: FDM 5.1 Beta
I have different downloader for Torrents, but FDM keep fetching it and it's annoying sometimes.
maybe a checkbox to completely disable torrent features?
and if possible, download all youtube videos in the playlist?
Thank you for this reliable download manager. I've been using this for years, since I first had my Computer.
