FDM 5 has UI for eyecandy and all new features. But I think it lacks features present in FDM 3. Like shutdown after download and other things. If it is present please tell me where it is

What other things would you like to see in FDM 5? Name 3-5 most wanted features, please.

Hi guys,

Installed over FDM 3 folder and throws an unhandled exception on startup. Is there some PDBs files so programmers like me can give you better feedback?

Regards,
Mauro.

What FDM 3 version/build have you used? Could you follow the reporting rules, please?

The extension doesn't seem to register in Nightly (Firefox).

And it SHOULD NOT, as it is clearly stated in the very first message of this topic.

Build 4520 works fine by the moment. High DPI display support would be much appreciated but at least the 5.0 UI is consistent with such displays unlike the 3.9 which keeps falling apart here and there.

Could you follow the reporting rules and describe - what exactly works fine in FDM 5 and what exactly keeps falling in FDM 3.x, please?

Dear FDM,

I have used it several years from now for your excellence.
Now I want it to my Linux (Ubuntu or others) desktop.
Could you please made FDM 5 available for this?

Thanks.

I've just tested the FDM 5 preview build 4520 on Chrome Version 45.0.2454.85 m and Firefox 40.0.3 and here are the issues I've encountered so far:
On firefox, the FDM plugin could not be verified and has been disabled. There's no way to enable it. I have to work around by make custom setting to flashgot (Flashgot doesn't detect FDM 5 at first unlike with FDM 3).
My company server blocks youtube viewing. I tried copying the video link to FDM 5 and the loading window takes forever => 1. should have a separate link loading window instead of combining to the main window
2. Files should be allowed to change name prior to download.
3. When pressing control + A combo to select the entire finished download list and hit delete, it should only remove the list, not delete downloaded files from the disk.
Other than the above issues, I think FDM 5 is a very nice looking download manager and very promising one. Can't wait for the final, stable one to come out :D

It's been already reported here and there, see f.e.: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16047&p=41259#p41235

Missing keyboard navigation has been reported long time ago, see f.e.: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16856&p=39004&hilit=navigation#p39004
Thanks for info about other reported problems.

And I bet there's no way at all to switch to a professional interface, more like the old version.

 Maybe you need to Google "Material Design" and learn what a modern "Professional" UI should like.

 I'm loving FDM5 and have been checking back for months for new build or even full release. Windows 10 has been released and FDM5 has been behaving fine with my upgrade from Windows 7, however there is no integration with MS Edge. Will this be a future feature, if it's possible :?:

Meanwhile thanks for a great preview devs :D
