Everything worked for the first couple of days, but now everytime I open a new tab in FF FDM wants to download a random file from a site I have visited recently. Everything goes back to normal if I disable the FDM extention in FF.
Dear User!

Please check the FDM extension version in Firefox.
We have fixed the problem in 3.0.5. Feel free to upgrade if it's lower.
Kindly let us know if the problem repeats after the upgrade.

Clive

Read viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17744&p=44981#p44981
Works also for Firefox 52 ESR and should work for other Gecko-based browsers.

Firefox plugin 3.0.5 still tries to download arbitrary files (FF 57, Windows 10).

Only two examples:

https://www.facebook.com/

But it does not occur at every attempt. It seems tto happen more often if FF is terminated and restarted.

Just reinstalled Windows 10 x64 Pro, and have a new profile for Firefox Nightly 59.0a1 (2017-11-29) (64-bit).

Upon reinstalling FDM, and updating it to the latest version, the Firefox addon installed was still version 3.0.3. I just updated the addon and now have 3.0.6.

I'll play around and see if it works (3.0.3 refused to capture and send downloads to FDM v 5.1.33.6791, so I'm hoping that it will now work.

In addition, I'll keep an eye out for the random file download bug a few ppl have been experiencing.

Please add option "Sequential download" to settings or to "New torrent" window. Thanks.

if downloads stop automatically for any reasons, I don't see start/resume option in the rightclick menu & GUI, only restart option, is it a bug?

If I manually stop the downloads, restart option is there.

Hi,

I'm having problem with updating add-on for Firefox. I followed below advise but still have 3.0.3. I tried to remove it and install through FDM. Still 3.0.3.

"Please update your Firefox extension but right clicking on it in your browser, choosing update extension and restarting the browser. The version of extension should be at least 3.0.5 then. "

I have Win 10 x64, FF 57.0.2 (64-bit), FDM 5.1.33.6791.

Will appreciate any advice how to update add-on.
