It's a rather uncommon thing to have playlists over 100 videos long. but thanks for informing us that such a feature can be required.

I can do this in 3.9.7 allowing a different torrent engine to then collect the .torrent file and do the downloading elsewhere.
FDM 5.1 if allowed to download a .torrent file automatically downloads the whole torrent - I don't want this.

If you just cancel the download in fdm does it not default bac :wink: k to the browser? Thus saving the .torrent

Haven't logged in for a long time and as FDM3 is now being obsoleted i saw a couple of response, Hope you consider them still valid for FDM6.

If I just cancel the default browser, yes it does save to the browser default location, and yes I can manually manipulate the file to a different location.
However FDM3 offers the great feature to 'group' based on extension. Once in the group it saves to the location I want with just one click, this location is watched by the torrent engine. Things all happen mostly automatically.

Hello,
We have plans to add such a feature. It's just not prioritized yet. Thanks for reminding it.

I'd like to have a feature to specify how to handle downloads, particularly what download directory to use, based on URL. For example, I could have most downloads go to the main download folder, or even not have FDM handle them, but when downloading something from a specified website, have FDM manage it and download it to a specific folder. At the very least, it should allow designating the whole website, e.g. www.example.com, but it might be useful to be able to specify even more exactly, e.g. www.example.com/1/* would go to folder 1 and www.example.com/2/* would go to folder 2.

Something like that has been suggested before, but thanks for getting into such details.

Such a feature exists in FDM 3. You can use macro parameters there, for example:
%server% - domain name of the server (it's your first case);
%path_on_server% - path to the download on the server (it's your second case).

In FDM 3 you can create groups and use different download paths for different groups, for example based on server name or file type.

FDM 6 uses download folder provided by the system, so it can be changed using system tools outside of FDM.
However, when starting a new download, FDM shows last used folder, which can be changed inside FDM. See the following topic, please:
