FDM6 is completely different comparing to FDM3. It can't conflict with it in any way, except integration with browsers. FDM's browser extension prefers FDM6.

For now, FDM6 can't even import from FDM3, so it takes no action to FDM3 installation (and knows nothing about it).
This is not the case for FDM5. FDM6 automatically imports all FDM5 data and removes FDM5 from your PC. However, it does not delete your FDM5 data files so you can easily revert back if you want to.

-Option to automatically remove finished downloads.

1. Select "Automatically remove completed downloads from download list"
2. Examples ---
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17900
3. After selecting all items to download from the webpage,
Right-click browser extension "Download selected with Free Download Manager"
Call FDM6.8 for batch download

During downloading ... FDM program closes and exits. Restart the program to continue downloading. The downloading process closes and exits again ...

Cancel "Automatically remove completed downloads from download list"
FDM6.8 "Batch Download" returned to normal.

Since FDM6.7 does not have an "Automatically remove completed downloads from download list" feature
"Bulk download" is normal.

We can't reproduce it... Is your OS Windows? If yes, please check if OS has created FDM crash dumps.
They should be located here: %localappdata%\CrashDumps\fdm.exe.*.dmp.
Send them to me via the private message on this forum (upload them first to some file sharing hosting, e.g. anonfile.com).

After investigation, the problem lies in ----%localappdata%\Softdeluxe

1.Uninstall FDM6.8
2. Manual deletion: %localappdata%\Softdeluxe
3.Reinstall FDM6.8

The test "batch download" was normal and there was no recurrence of the FDM program exit problem.

But the bug still exists. And it can happen again. So I hope you can send me those crash dumps...

But the importwizard.exe error pops up every time after the installer finishes
Personal judgment analysis is that there is a problem with the file importwizard.exe
