How about making FDM OSS. Then its quality will increase and someone will port it to linux too. FDM will be a great blessing to the newbie users to linux since they would have used it on Windows. Please FDM, please, please.........

If anyone agrees with me please support this request.

As for Firefox 2.0 support, I use Flasgot extension which does a good job of supporting FDM(along with other popular Download Managers).

Until the powers that be that control the FDM source decide to make it OSS, I'd recommend using Kget.

Also, I _think_ it runs under wine, but I havnt tested it.

I have just tried it under normal wine 0.9.22 without winetools (can't install winetools since the server is down and maybe always will be *snicker*).I could install it without problems but I couldn't execute it unfortunatly!

I am currently running Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy eft)

I agree too. :)
I use it since a long time on Windows and I love it.
Now I just have installed Linux (Ubuntu) and I can't find a good alternative. :(
Don't make it open-source if you don't want to (I read this somewhere on this forum), but please, port it to Linux!

Thanks.

Please, please, please, port it to Linux. It's the best download manager I ever have seen!

Perhaps, FDM is the only Windows software, that Linux lacks, yet free. Absolutely must be in Linux!

Yes. I want FDM under Linux. Under Linux is nothing comparable. :( Sad, but true. In windows is competing among the others. In Linux will be a star.
