Re: FDM 3.9 Release Candidate 1
Amazin, yet another RC! I guess this year will be the year of the RC's as last was the year of the beta's.
Oh well at least its yet another "update" to satisfy the update crowd. For cryin out loud, just call it a final, and update as needed with the usual bug fix updates and be done with it. This proggram has been around now long enough to be "working" on many computers. A newer version can always be renamed as it gets updated.
This is not to down the program, I use it and have for a long time now, it has pretty much worked well for me no matter what the beta or RC version was called.

Re: FDM 3.9 Release Candidate 1
Agree with previous.
Thanks for your job and this release. I just want to clear 1 thing: will there ever be Maxthon 3 browser support? Now I can't even see FDM in the list of download managers... Earlier it was incompatible.

Re: FDM 3.9 Release Candidate 1
Hello from Germany!
I am using Free Download Manager for a long time know and still happy with it!
Thanks to the developers!
Installed this latest release which should support Firefox 10, but due to the disabled FDM Extension
Version 1.5.5 I had to search the Forum for a solution and modifying the install.rdf worked just fine for me! Thanks to the community!
Still wondering why this has to be manually modified as the release notes say it is compatible?
Thanks in advance for any information!
Regards from Aachen, Germany
Guido

Re: FDM 3.9 Release Candidate 1
i just downloaded and installed 3.9 RC1 and it now works in FF10 even though the add on mgr in extensions indicates that it doesnt support it yet. fdm shows up in right click and when i click on a download link , as usual. i panic when i see fox fire update , again and again , primarily because i will lose the download manager. I have used this for years and grown accustomed to it and am not really interested in any others. the only issue i had was the link to 'download the newest version' took me back to 3.8 build 11something. i knew there was another rc and newer build because i put it in my other computer via the forum..
I learned to come here first before freaking out, in a minor way, and whatever info i am in need of , is here.
thought i would add this for others with the same affliction
