Start Download With No PopUp
Start Download With No PopUp
I'm exasperated! Every time I download a file, I always get the confirmation prompt popup! I know there's a way to turn the download confirmation popup off, but I can't find it. Can someone point me to it?
Thanks,,,

I downloaded the latest version of FDM - 1.1 build 221 hoping that this very annoying "feature" will be taken care of.
I checked the Silent Monitoring checkbox. I even removed all my "groups". Only the "others" remained. I want all my downloads to go into one directory for simplicity.
The result is ... am I insane?!
When I click on some file in the browser, it is "silently" added to the download list AND STARTED AUTOMATICALLY!?
When I drag and drop some URL to the drop box the annoying "Add Download" window pops up AGAIN!!?
Silent monitoring is good but on certain occasions: when I know that I WANT to download something and add it to FDM manually (right click in the browser or through drop box).
When I am just browsing I may not be aware about the links I am clicking on - they may not be direct downloads but some scripts. In this case I want to KNOW what's happening. I don't want to receive no feedback when clicking on a link and then to find out that FDM has downloaded IN THE BACKGROUND without asking me some files.
This is not intuitive, and confusing.
The best way to get rid of this is:
Add three checkboxes on the options menu:
1. Popup annoying dialog when clicking on a link - Yes/No
2. Popup annoying dialog when drag/dropping a link - Yes/No
3. Popup annoying dialog when adding download with right-click menu - Yes/No
How to tell FDM that by default I don't want to start the downloads automatically?

I posted an email through the web site letting them know that I think the ALT must be pressed checkbox bit in the monitoring tab is not working (anymore). As when I was click on any link it was downloading the files through FDM. So downloading with FDM can be a bit awkward atm.
Your ideas for the three options of when to show the dialog is a good idea as I guess sometimes you want it to appear so you could reserve the Drop Box/Right Click for that task.
Kirilius: Surely though you've specified files types to download so FDM won't download things willy nilly. So you should be safe for scripts etc and it will only download files with the extensions you've specified. Anyway FDM needs some work so fingers crossed next update fixes all this up.
