The problem seems to be related to some not very good techniques we used to integrate into Google Chrome browser.
We fixed it and now it appears to be OK.

I use on IE11, FF42 and it has no problem with 1623 version. I would avoid Chrome like a plague since it has proven itself unreliable as a Safe *cough* *pun* Broswer.
You CANNOT ignore problems reported by Google Chrome users. Developers of Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox web browsers are going to use Blink (Webkit/Chrome-like) compatible API for extensions in the nearest future, so the Chrome extension may be the only one actively developed the next November. Hi :)

I'm Hoping someone can advise me. I am using Windows 10 Pro (x64) 1511 Build 10586.3 (TH2). FDM 3.9.6 (also tried 3.9.6 Candidates with same issue)

Free Download Manager is set to run at Windows start up and the icon appears in the Notification Tray. However, a few seconds after it has installed I see a Banner Notification (Windows 10 Style) just above the Notification Tray saying
Free Download Manager
There are no active Download currently

and it disappears automatically after a few seconds (as Win 10 Banners normally do).
This happens every time I start up & logon.

In Windows 10 Start Menu> Settings> System Display, notifications, apps, power > Notifications & actions> under the section Show notifications from these app I have 4 apps listed

Free Download Manager
Realtek HDF Audio Manager
Secunia PSI Tray
Wclock World Time Utility

If I switch off any of them OR ALL of them they show as off. So I should not now get any Banner Notifications
If I then shutdown PC and reboot and logon. I see the Free Download Manager Banner notification again"

On rechecking the 4 apps status
Realtek HDF Audio Manager
Secunia PSI Tray
Wclock World Time Utility

Three are OFF as I had chosen, but the 4th Free Download Manager has switched itself ON again automatically /b] ( it actually never really switched off Banner Notifications when I set the setting to OFF.
I have rechecked this finding several times and the same thing happens every time

I CAN stop the FDM Banner Notification appearing at Start up by switching off the setting in Start Menu> Settings> [b] System
Display, notifications, apps, power > Notifications & actions> under the section Notifications "Show app notifications" and switching it from ON to OFF It seems like a sort of ALL apps "Master switch"). FDM happily, does not override (or ignore) THIS OFF settings at next login.

The problem in using this (Master switch) OFF method ,is that I can no longer choose which individual apps I want Banner Notification on and which I want off (in my case I want FDM's OFF).

FDM is using windows 10 Notification Banners but it seems not fully integrated to respect OFF when chosen in the tart Menu> Settings> System Display, notifications, apps, power > Notifications & actions> under the section Show notifications from these app and overrides my OFF selection (or never switches off) Banner Notifications always resulting in it being automatically switched back ON when I next Boot up PC and logon.

Can anybody please advise if this is an FDM bug, Windows 10 compatibility issue, or how I can get FDM to accept my Windows 10 OFF settings and not switch it back on every time I log on.

Many thanks all
