Mozilla / Firefox integration?

Postby nemo » Thu Aug 12, 2004 11:02 am

We have FDM 1.0 :) But I still can't integrate FDM with my Firefox browser...
Are there any command line argumens for FDM? I'm trying to use DownloadWith.

Do you check "Mozilla Firefox" in the Download options->Monitoring tab?
What FDM says you?

Put language file in appropriate directory, even if language don't worked for
me, since then FDM was able to locate properly firefox directory
(in another post I'll explain how to update Italian language file to get working,
on translation forum)

I must have been blind... :)

Firefox integration works quite well, but there is no command line option.
So DownloadWith still can't work with DFM :(

For me it doesn't work very well, only sometimes, even with the Download options->Monitoring tab on and manually added some more extensions.
90 % of the time doesn't work.

Strange, i got problem only with files containing multiple points (.)
Example: www.mysite.org--namefile.zip <<<<THIS won't be catched by FDM

Example: http://www.mysite.net/downloads/www.mys ... lename.zip
This one is more readable

OMG! CORRECTED: after some more testing it seems that FDM catches
about 80% of the files with multiple point in the title.... it must be sometin else....

Maybe I'm wrong, but DownloadWith sends command line parameter to download manager ([URL] parameter for instance). FDM does not support command line input, so DownloadWith has nothing to send...

they realy need to get a news system going where they announce updates and allso fix the update function in fdm itself so that it detect these minor updates (preferably with a printout of whats new!)...

That's a minor annoyance..... we can be patient cause programmers
are very fast to solve major issues :D :D
