- optional aria2 support ?
- some plugins support (I know that can be risky and hard to plan \ implement on a good and efficient way) ?
The features are in our to-do list.

Re: Vote for upcoming FDM 5 features
Please, PLEASE add back in the site explorer function. That is the main reason I use FDM, and really want it back!
Re: Vote for upcoming FDM 5 features
Why there is no ''shutdown" at the end of download that was one of two most important option for me (second is transfer limitation). I hope we get it back in next patch.
Re: Vote for upcoming FDM 5 features
i want this option: Turn off computer when done .This is very important option for me .Pls do it

100% agree with Usher.
Some suggest not adding some of them to 5.1 to keep size down. However 3.9.x is a very successful, popular, reliable and mature application and all the features and options in 3.9.x are obviously considered desirable enough to warrant inclusion.
I assume the FDM DEV Team wish most users will migrate to Ver 5.x as soon as possible. It therefore makes perfect sense to give 5.x the options found in 3.9.x. used by most in accordance with their varying needs).
Not doing this I fear will slow User full time migration to 5.x and leave two semi parallel versions to support both with strong User bases who like (amongst other features).
1) 5.x for Cross Platform, simplicity (dumbing down needs/options?), Modern GUI.
2) 3.9.x for maximum options with supported O/S, but less pretty.
I would be surprised if many lovers of 3.9.x will migrate to 5.x full time before most/all 3.9.x options are in place. At end of the day whichever FDM version is chosen, ultimately User adoption depends on ease of use, download reliability and options users like, need and use.
Re: Vote for upcoming FDM 5 features
Setting date and time of downloaded file to match that of file on server.

Thank you for the feedback.
We are going to add features from the Voting list to FDM 5.
Also, we support both FDM versions. So, you can choose the version you prefer.

Clive

Thanks Clive.
IF medium term Development support policy is known yet, may I ask whether the FDM Team intend to continue supporting both versions indefinitely or whether its intention is to improve FDM 5.x to a degree where retaining 3.9.x would be considered essentially pointless and an unnecessary support burden to the team and its retention only desired by relatively few users.
I am not asking because I wish to stay with 3.9.x forever as I would like to migrate to 5.x permanently when reliability, speed and options match those that I need and use in 3.9.x.
Bye the way how do I vote if I do not wish to sign up with Google? Have I missed an alternative method of voting?
Kind Regards

We intend to support both versions for a long time. I can't specify for how long exactly, I guess, FDM 3 version will be supported a few years more.
Speaking about the voting process, to sign up is the only way to vote.
However, you can always write here what features you would like to vote for if you don't want to sign up at all.

Clive
