Adding support for other Linux distribution

Postby Fahim Shahriar » Fri Jun 30, 2023 6:15 am

Hey! It's good to see that FDM is available on Linux. However, it only supports Debian based distros. But there are a lot of other distro package managers like RPM, FDM has no support for them. So it's a good idea to package FDM as Snap or Flatpak or AppImage, so that anyone can install it on any distribution. It's a one time effort for supporting each and every distro. Hope you'll take the suggestion seriously and I'll be able to install it on Fedora soon. Have a nice day!

Hello,
Why can't you just convert DEB to RPM?

In this case it works perfectly fine converting to RPM and using it in Gentoo-based Linux.
