It's not a number. You can download FDM 3.x, 5.x and 6.x versions - which one is in your case?

Download links are welcome. Or at least info, if any file from listed hosting services is available for anonymous download. I can't test other downloads.

Problems with Youtube are known and will always occur, I'm afraid. They have separate topic on this forum.

You should also read note about known issues: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17900 and linked there info in FDM FAQ for Firefox, which explains why some downloads may be ignored by FDM. Other downloaders have similar problems in Firefox and use some workarounds to get proper download link.

Guest wrote:Context Menu
So far I also don't see FDM in my right-clicks while using FF though when I would use Chrome I did often see it.
You can see context menu on direct links or some buttons properly linked to download. Unfortunately, currently most buttons are provided by javascript code and/or lead to redirections - and context menu doesn't work fur such cases.

Thanks for the help so far. Here's the FDM version:
FDM version 5.1.38.7312

Honestly though from what you're saying it doesn't sound like there's a whole lot that can be done. I'm guessing Firefox just doesn't work as well with FDM as Chrome. I might need to find a more compatible software.

FDM 5.x isn't in development any more. You should upgrade to FDM 6, where support for video files is better.

However, any download manager won't speed up downloading from many file hosting services which allow only a single connection for anonymous or logged-in free users.

Download links not caught

Postby lunchtime » Sun Apr 25, 2021 10:09 pm

I have the same problem as "guest". Links are nearly always intercepted by internal downloader, not FDM.
It seems HTTP links are caught as intended, HTTPS links are not. Context menu works fine. Maybe this helps?

This is for: Ambulance (2022) [1080p] [WEBRip] [5.1]
For some reason, it shuts FDM down.
I'm using Win 10

Brave Browser Version 1.41.96 Chromium: 103.0.5060.114 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Tried other magnets, but still seems to happen.

Hello,
What do you mean "shuts down"? Just exits silently? No "app crashed" windows from neither FDM, nor OS?
Do you you have any "fdm.exe.*.dmp" files in your %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps folder?
If yes, please upload a few of them somewhere (e.g. to anonfiles.com) and send me link(s) via the private message on this forum.
P.S. I've tried to reproduce - works fine for me...

Test in Fx 104.0.1, 104.0.2 and 105.0, it's working fine in all three.

Try a new profile and see if it works in there (just the FDM addon installed). If it does, it's something in your main profile.

Hello,
"Does not work" means nothing and means anything at the same time. Most of the time it's just impossible to fix any issue using such a "report".

FDM for FF is just stuck on "Loading..."

Image

FF version: 106.0b2
Latest version for FDM windows and FF add-on.

Tried restarting FF and the FDM application but no luck. Also tried to uninstall the add-on and reinstalling.

I'm running Firefox Nightly v107.0 alpha 1, and until today it was also broken there, Today, without any changes to FDM or the FDM addon (3.0.57 for Firefox) it has started working again.

I suspect it is a change in the 106 that has been either reverted in 107, or else whatever that change broke has been fixed in 107. Thus, I suspect that once 107 moves to Beta, it will also be fixed there.

I just tested on Nightly and this seems to be correct. Thanks.
