But it introduces an opportunity to download RTSP/MMS video.
We would like our users to test it and tell us about the result.
Please notice that this version uses newer format of its service files which is incompatible with the previous versions of FDM.

Re: FDM 3.9.1 BETA
thank you for that new version FDM 3.9.1 BETA build 1250...
i noticed, that it is possible to open the some dialogs (e.g. "HTML Spider default settings"-dialog) more than once at the same time, what will accidently reject the settings when done in the "wrong" dialog one.
e.g. "Options" -> "Settings" -> "Downloads" -> "New Downloads" -> ["Default settings for site downloads"]
all the dialogs in that settings tab may appears more than once at the same time, if the buttons will clicked... that made settings may run into unwanted behavior.
the dialogs should open in a "modal"-mode.
i don't know if that is a new issue or if it was already an issue in the versions before.

Re: FDM 3.9.1 BETA
Just tested this version on Windows 8 x64. Its interoperability with IE10 seems to be compromised. After installation, many web sites become unusable with the pages not rendering properly. Removing the product returns IE to proper operation. I am not sure if the 3.9 version works - I will let you know.

Re: FDM 3.9.1 BETA
BitDefender has quarantined "fdmumsp.dll" with "Trojan.Heur.LP.fu4@aGwzv0jk". Is there a chance it is infected?
Thanks,
Grouch
Thanks,

Re: FDM 3.9.1 BETA
No, it's not infected. Kaspersky, Avast, DrWeb and others found nothing in it.

You may to not use this file. But integration with Internet Explorer will not work properly in this case.

Hi guys great job
especially for the portable version
but you guys are making me use windows(no linux support )
The new bit-torrent module has a bug
Sometimes i have to download some files urgently
so i disable seeding for sometime(until that imp file is done)
but FDM doe-snot follow it & keeps seeding(uploading)
Magnet links are not supported
FF extension can be available in install folder as a compressed xpi
(so i can use it in a portable version which is used on diff laptops)?
It can manually install it but that's not very easy(fdm is in a usb with changing drive letters & portable FF)
& keep up the good work &
Totally agree with this & hope it gets implemented
+1 to this especially the part of using portable FDM with portable FF(from usb drives on different machines)
will this be implemented in this version?
its an important thing

A bug is found in this 3.9.1 BETA build 1251
I also happen to use The portable version
so created a portable install & copied to usb & replaced the folder with all the info(settings & etc)
FDM worked fine with all the downloads(complete & incomplete) but after i closed and restarted FDM threw an error & all the data was gone
deleted the info(settings & etc) folder & set up FDM portable as i like(new settings & etc was created) & now it works fine
Tried to reproduce & it happens again & again
just replace the old (data folder from this build to the last rc1194 or vise-versa)
(older versions had no problems & love it to be that way as i keep jumping from stable/beta/rc)
Please Fix this(especially for portable FDM users) ALEX & keep us in mind in Future too
P.S- Am i the only girl here

@ALEX could it be due to regression from these

FDM 3.9.1 BETA build 1250
In FDM 3.9.1 BETA build 1251, it is still possible to open settings dialog boxes more than once at the same time.
try this:
"Options" -> "Settings" -> "Downloads" -> "New Downloads" -> "Advanced"-button
it will open the "Default download settings" dialog as often as you click the "Advanced"-button on that panel/tab.
to see what i mean, watch this:

Re: FDM 3.9.1 BETA
