Re: FDM 5.1
Hi,
It seems that the current stable build (5597), as well as the current beta build (5634), FDM downloads an "incomplete.html" file instead of the expected executable, given the following URL: https://www2.ati.com/drivers/win10-64bi ... 2-jan3.exe
I haven't had the occasion to check with the build prior to the latest stable build, but, for reference, it used to work correctly on builds prior to that.
Another issue I'm experiencing (which has been occurring on all v5 builds I've tried) is that the right-click functionality doesn't always seem to work where expected, and I occasionally have to right-click one extra time to invoke the context menu. As a note, I expect the right-click functionality to work even if I directly right-click on a download in the list different from the one currently selected - at this time, if the context menu is visible, right-clicking on another download will simply close it, instead of re-invoking it where expected.
As for feedback, I believe that it's currently hard to tell which the selected download is, as it is bordered by a light blue rectangle that is hard to spot, or tell apart from the typical light gray border. I feel that even colouring the background of the selected download item can make the selected download more evident.
Additionally, I remain unsure as to why the main window remains visible after I add a download, as I typically would have no need to interact with the download until it's done.
Thanks.

Re: FDM 5.1
It's a problem with AMD site. They don't allow direct linking and they are overzealous in their actions. Click your link in your browser and you will see the same "Download Not Complete" web page. Maybe AMD don't want to pay too much for Akamai file hosting, but they are doing it in the wrong way.ItsADuck wrote:It seems that the current stable build (5597), as well as the current beta build (5634), FDM downloads an "incomplete.html" file instead of the expected executable, given the following URL: https://www2.ati.com/drivers/win10-64bi ... 2-jan3.exe
You should fill the survey on the AMD webpage if they propose you to do it, otherwise they will still ignore complaints.

Re: FDM 5.1
I'm using the FireFox browser (latest v 50.1.0), and I have the latest FDM v5.1 installed, I'm facing a problem that FDM sometimes do not catch all sites downloads (e.g it works/catches downloads from keep2share, but NOT from rapidgator), is there a way to fix this problem (I already installed the FDM plugin/extension for FireFox)? thanks..

Hi marwanbal
Go to the settings; scroll down in the browser integration section where you can find skip domains option. As of now rapidgator is in that list. You can either disable it or remove it from the list. But since it is in the list by default I assume there are some problems catching from the domains which are listed there hence it is not recommended. But you can always try and see what happens and let us know.

Re: FDM 5.1
I use FDM 5.1 on Windows 7 64 bit.
What is winwfpmonitor.exe that is running with full local SYSTEM privileges?
It's name (Edge Monitor) suggests to me that its only appropriate for Windows 10 systems where integration with the Edge browser has been enabled. If that's correct please could you make changes so that it doesn't run in other cases.
Thanks.

So, anyone without Edge monitoring and without allowing automatic updates should not see this process?

worked like a charm..
Another question though, is there a feature where FDM shuts down the computer once all downloads are completed?

I concur.
I have my own mechanism of checking updates for all software on my computer and rarely use auto update anywhere.
Every time after I update FDM I would manually disable its entry in Task Scheduler to stop winwfpmonitor.exe from automatically running in the background.
It's a bit of a hassle that I'd like to get rid of.
Re: FDM 5.1
"Automatically cleanup complete downloads from the download list" feature is still not implemented

After adding downloads to the FDM download list, when the downloads are still active, the auto-shutdown option is available as a menu option.

Re: FDM 5.1
On numerous times (not always), I get an error on my download when it is about to finish "HTTP error 404" which stops the file from being completly downloaded..
How to avoid this issue from recurring?

Can you provide some sample links (preferably of small file size) where this error occurs so I can also check and provide some feedback. Also does this happen with specific sites ?
Regards
