The plugin is compatible, your FDM installation seems to be NOT updated properly. Follow suggestions from the FDM FAQ, download current FDM installer and reinstall FDM (or edit install.rdf manually).

I'm not sure if you're talking about FDM 5.0 alpha or not...

I'm sure that I'm testing NOW current FDM 5.0 alpha building with Firefox 34.0.5.
FDM 5 by default should automatically update Firefox plugin, but there may be some bugs in update module. You can do as follows:
1. Close Firefox and FDM.
2. Find the newest tmp*.tmp file in your %TEMP% folder, rename it to *.zip and browse its content - there should be ffext1609 folder there.
3. Copy content of that folder with subfolders to %Programfiles%\Free Download Manager 5\Firefox\extension folder replacing old plugin.
4. Run FDM, then open Firefox, display extensions list and make sure you can see active FDM plugin 1.6.0.9 version there.

It would be good if there is an option to download with browser i.e a hotkey to download with browser i.e control + click, alt + click, etc...

It would be good if videos downloads options is shown as formats i.e MP4 Videos with + sign & when expanded 1080, 720, etc is shown. Similarly MP4 Audio, etc... & other formats. This will make the videos downloads options little easy & clear to access. MP4 Videos can be shown expanded by default.

Had hopes for the new version since its been over 6 months from the last one, but no.

I'm using on Windows 7 64bit

1. Just doesn't work on Chrome Version 40.0.2214.45 beta-m (64-bit). Doesn't capture downloads or videos. No right click FDM option or should I say there is "download with FDM" only on links, but it doesn't actually download with FMD, if you press the button it just downloads the index page within Chrome.

2. Doesn't work on Firefox 35.0. The plugin is incompatible with 35.0, so it didn't even install on the browser, obviously no right click FDM option and tried to download just to see if there is some monitoring apart from the plugin and no luck, doesn't capture downloads or video.

3. Works on IE11 only in limited fashion. Able to catch downloads, but no right click option from FDM to download video or files, and it then causes an error with IE11 all the time, giving me this message: "Windows Data Execution Prevention detected an add-on trying to use system memory incorrectly. This can be caused by a malfunction or a malicious add-on." Only addon is the FDM plugin.

4. Automatically makes .torrent files default to FDM, which is stupid. I already have a torrent manager, don't need my files default association changed.

5. Still no option to set default download directory.

After updating to 5 I've got this plugin in Firefox, npfdmjsvdld scriptable plugin. Was wondering what it's for exactly.

Hello!
Could you please go to the Manage Add-ons menu, expand it, and send us a screenshot?

Additionially, if you have the "Enhanced protected mode" enabled in IE -- the plugin won't work, it's not compatible with this mode as of now.

Hello!

1,2 - Usually, support for beta- versions of browsers is not promised until the actual release dates,
However, we tested it with Chrome 40 x64 beta, and the FDM plugin performed just fine,
Can you see "fdm_nativehost.exe" in the list of running processes? This might be an issue related to your antivirus.
3 - Thank you for the report, we will get on that,
4 - That's done automatically, yes, and there's no option in the installer to disable it as of now. We will add it to the list of requests,
5 - Unfortunately, no, not yet.

Hello!
npfdmjsvdld.dll is there to support video downloading. You could disable it without really affecting FDM, apart from some video-related features.
