And it seems I am not the only one with this problem:
"The error 'vista fault iefdm2.dll_unloaded' is caused by Free Download manager software.
This software has incompatibilities with Vista and will make windows explorer restart.
To solve the issue you need to:
1). Uninstall FreeDownload Manager.
2). Remove the freedownload manager plugin from mozilla firefox if you use it
3). Delete the software directory left behind after uninstall
Hope this helps.

Anonymous wrote:I also had this same problem. Can't solve it. I have CCleaner but I don't think I "cleaned" anything I wasn't supposed to. Using FDM 2.6 beta, IE 7.0 and Vista SP1 x64 edition.
Is there any solution besides completely uninstalling FDM??
Download "autoruns" (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi ... 63902.aspx) look for the .dll and uncheck it. Restart. FDM will be unable to catch links, but your explorer won't crash. You could use the clipboard feature to add your downloads.
I had the same problem, APPCRASH explorer.exe 6.0.6000.16549, fault module name: iefdm2.dll_unloaded and BAE.dll_unloaded
* Running FDM-Lite 2.5 build 758 under Vista Home Premium with all windows updates.
* CCleaner 2.13.720 20081027; I check all options in the Windows tab. This is following a restore to factory install of OS, and I have not at this point run run the registry cleaner.
SOLUTION: Unininstalling FDM fixed the problem.

I have the same problem and don't have CCleaner installed, never did, but IE7 crashes every time with an error message every time I close the browser, always siting FDM as the problematic dll ...

I have the same problem with Build 829
Can you please disable all plugins in IE except FDM's one and check if the problem will be solved?
