Chasing Disappearing icon

For the most part, FDM works quite well. I have a problem with the FF plugin, though. When it appears on some videos, and I try to click on it, the "Download with FDM" icon vanishes before I can click on it. Sometimes I can sneak up on it and get it clicked, others not. When I move the mouse back to the vid the pop up reappears. FF version 37.02 but this was with previous versions as well.

Please provide sample URLs where it happens.

It will be better if the button appears inside the video window. Some sites use AJAX-like solutions to make all background outside the video window dimmed and unclickable.
It will be even better if the location of the button is user defined - in any of the video window corners.

I will update with an URL next time I find one. Thanks.

Please follow the reporting rules and provide sample URLs.

Now I've got only one idea: youtube in full screen. We can try to integrate our button into their bottom panel. The button should obviously disappear on mouse inactivity (with the rest of the panel).

Maybe. But the more important task is trying to show the button above the "dimmed and unclickable" background. In most cases, it must be possible.

So maybe you should add an option to always show the button? Solution used by SaveFrom.net helper looks better to me.
See this video for example:
