No. FDM5 does not support multi-language interface currently.

I don't like the new UI at all, are there any plan that let users choose the 3.9x like UI?

It's not only ugly ( IMHO ), but also takes too much memory. It's taking up 114MB memory with only 1 http download is processing...

FDM 5 is really a good progress and I like it. Though, I have a problem with downloading large files from time-restricted sites like youtube. My internet connection is slow and I usually download file in several days. In old FDM I was able to refresh download link manually, by going to download properties and copy and paste new link and resume my download. Do I missing this option in FDM 5 or FDM missed this option? :?:

Eye-catching colors on startup, nice design.

Okay the drag-and-drop Youtube URL feature is AMAZING. I couldn't believe it when I saw all the different video qualities lined up and you can choose the ones you want. The only thing is I don't know how to rename the file before downloading it.

Also the speed control is a bit better but if we were able to just right-click the file and choose from several pre-defined speeds (like in Bittorent) that would be the most convenient.
Anyway I am still testing features and I'll come back when I've tested other stuff like the torrent downloading.

Okay I like the new version, but it really overtaxes my CPU and I don't want to fry it! So I'll be uninstalling the program. I'm confident that the stable version of FDM5 will be great.

Hi, since I installed malwarebytes anti-malware, I keep getting those notifications with fdm.exe trying to access various IP addresses either it's downloading or not. Why is that ?

Thanks

Read the FDM FAQ, please.

31.210.100.204 seems to be some PC in Turkey, probably infected and working as a part of botnet. You should be aware that its user might install malware when running some software downloaded as a torrent.

Edit: It is even worse. You may be infected when using some torrent site proxies:

Thanks mate.

I just disabled every bittorent option there is, unfortunately, using the latest beta, I can't see any "enable bittorent" global option, nor any community options...
If you have any hint for me please let me know.

Will test for a few days, but those are outbound connections, so I didn't think they could come from other nodes..
Of course I may be wrong though.

Will report back, no alert for the past 10 minutes at least =)

FDM FAQ by default describes options available in FDM 3.x, many of those settings are not implemented in FDM 5 preview (yet).

With Bittorrent enabled FDM must respond to requests from other nodes. That way FDM creates outcoming traffic, though initiated by the other nodes. FDM may still initiate outbound connections if it still keeps data in btdht.sav file, so if you really don't want to use torrents any more, you can delete this file - change your folder options to show hidden folders and files, then go to "%APPDATA%\Free Download Manager 5" folder and you should see all FDM service files (from the command line you should use command dir /a).

As of Firefox 40, the Firefox FDM add-on (1.6.8) has been disabled; according to the message, it couldn't be verified for use in Firefox, as it isn't signed.

I love this version, it runs pretty fast on my windows 10 machine, youtube integration works fine too.

I'm using 4520.3 on Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate x64.

I drag links out of my browser and drop them on the FDM window.

I like it a lot except that many of my downloads (over half of them) are left with .FDM_Download on the end of the filename. They don't get renamed after the download successfully completes.
