Now FDM 3.9.7 also uses the WebExtension for Firefox published on AMO, so it's a good news.
But there are more bad news:
1. I think this build (1641) should be updated ASAP - as all dll and exe files have NO digital certificate and they may be automatically blocked by Windows (especially 64-bit versions).
2. There are still issues with removing old Firefox extension, especially when dealing with many Firefox profiles. See note for Firefox users in the very first posting.
3. Finally, neither ytparser nor flvsniffer libs have been updated and FDM 3.9.7 still downloads Youtube videos with NO title or can't download them at all - though many users reported those annoying problems.

Yes yes.....v3 lives on. Now if the only would listen and keep user customization and options I think later iterations will be used more.

Fun part was making sure to do the plugin update....but all seems working good.

However, These old framwork versions are the most praticle option for work at this moment.

Firefox Quantum (57 later) is still under develement
Most firefox plugins can't support it

No, I keep only some builds of full version. I don't think that FDM lite is still in wide use, as many people want to download youtube videos in 1080p and multimedia libs are required.

A few other places have build 1638.

PortableApps.com has the portable version of 1636 for use with the PA menu loading system.

Just read and follow the explanations below:

1. Check the links provided on those sites.
* The Vietnamese site links to dn2.freedownloadmanager.org where the current build is available so it's TRUSTED SOURCE and the current build is 1641 now. You can ignore that build.
* The Hungarian site links to dn.freedownloadmanager.org so you can expect some older build from the same TRUSTED SOURCE and you should check the build number.
* The Russian site (rsload.net) links to some other site so you can expect surprise.

2. Check if the file from the Russian site is digitally signed with certificate by Softdeluxe Ltd. as explained in older messages here-and-there on this forum. As you have downloaded all the three installers, you can see that all of them are valid and untouched.

3. Finally, unpack installer using Inno Setup Unpacker a.k.a. innounp and check the FDM.exe version.
And the winner is (surprise, surprise!) the Russian site, it's really the very build 1636 you're looking for! (And it goes to my OneDrive, soon to be seen…)
Just for the info: dn.freedownloadmanager.org provides even older build 1625.
