my Browser firefox 40.0.2 and the problem was in my old version of firefox 38.5 , after im downloaded latest version of FDM and the extension get this error , i mean the problem in FDM version , please Help

The error is shown by Firefox browser, not by FDM. I need you to provide me with the details on how to reproduce the problem on my side.

Minor issue (just cosmetic not a bug)

When FDM starts it creates a directory "Freedownloadmanager.org" with a Sub Dir "Free Download Manager" under %userprofile%\Appdata\Roaming.

Even when you remove the Dir it's automatically recreated when FDM starts.

Ps: No Files are created in this Dir.

After I upgraded to FF 40 and upgraded to FDM 3.9.6 (I had to as the plugin will not work with FF 40), FDM stopped monitoring FF. I get:
Fatal Error: Browser helper exe unexpected shutdown

Restarting the browser or rebooting do0es not help. Could you guys help?

When exactly do you get the message?

I get the message when I start FF, around system tray. Downloads do not use FDM afterwards

Does Firefox open tabs with some pages at the start? Or it opens a single blank page only?

Yes, it's really annoying to see people still ignoring suggestions from my signature.

Tried it your way = not working! FDM 5 did work for me fine in combination with Nightly Tester Tools (Addon compabilitiy forced) but since Firefox 40.0 nothing works anymore!

Windows 7, English only, FF start with blank page. Previous version (I cant remember FDM or FF versions) was working fine

Have you deleted startup cache in Firefox? Have you really followed the FDM FAQ suggestions - uninstall the old FDM version, remove all the old FDM extensions for Firefox and reinstall the newest FDM build? I suspect you may have missed something or broken your user profile, so you should better try on a new Windows user profile.

So that's why you are annoying. You haven't provided your FDM version. Currently there is NO FDM 5 preview version ready to work with Firefox 40 - the latest installer comes with old extension for Firefox that doesn't work in Firefox 40.

You can try to use extension taken from the newest FDM 3.9.6 build and report if it works.
Note that you SHOULD NOT use any tool for (manual) editing of any extension file in Firefox 40, they must remain intact. The extension should be digitally signed as a whole - if you edit any file, you break the signature and Firefox 40 may block broken extensions.
