anotehr thing to look into would be to get that update check function working. in 1.0 it didnt detect that a new version was out. only by visiting this page did i find that out...

How can anyone tell when there's a newer build of FDM?
The download page doesn't mention any build number, only that version 1.1 is available.

hm... here it doesn't EXIT at once - first, it pop-up info box, that say FDM will close in 30 seconds! VERY borring!
