Dear FDM developers
While appreciating your works, would you please add socks[5] proxy support?

FDM6 version for Linux supports it already. If it's possible, test it and tell us about the result.

Alex
Thank you for your attention and reply.
I installed FDM deb package (6.0.0.1032/Qt 5.11.2) on Ubuntu 18.10/AMD64/live with enough persistent storage.
I set FDM Socks5 proxy to some working IP:Port and tried to download multiple files while Ubuntu system proxy was not set. I repeated the test with Ubuntu system proxy set to some IP:Port. I didn't face with any problem while downloading in either case. It seems FDM follows its proxy settings well. However I didn't have any traffic monitoring tool available to see what exactly was going on.
I hope to see this feature in FDM for Windows soon.
