Hmm... I'm having this issue as well.
Re: FDM 3.9.4
Yeah, looks like latest IE11 update broke the monitoring function.
Re: FDM 3.9.4
It appears that KB2976627 disables the FDM IE Add-On as well as the FDM Monitoring capabilities.
The Add-On can be enabled once again and after a browser restart, the "Download With Free Download Manager" context menu option does allow FDM download functionality.
However, the FDM Video Monitoring options remain non-functional.

Re: FDM 3.9.4
Monitoring Function of FDM 3.9.4 Build 1472 doesn't work no more under Internet Explorer v11.0.11 (Update KB2976627)!
Will there be a FDM Update to fix this problem?

Re: FDM 3.9.4
This is the first time for me in many years that a Microsoft update has disabled FDM using IE. FDM has not worked since a Microsoft update on 14 of August. I am using FDM version 3.92 build 1294. IE 11 Window 7 Home Premium 32 bit. Hopefully some support to get it working again soon?
Re: FDM 3.9.4
Reporting problems with old FDM versions is NOT really helpful as many bugs may be already fixed in the latest build. You should install the newest FDM 3.9.x build to confirm that the problem still exists.Micheal wrote:I am using FDM version 3.92 build 1294.
Now I have no time to test FDM in Win7, so I can only repeat that Enhanced Protection Mode should be disabled in IE. You can also check FDM plugin status in IE's Internet Options - open Internet Options, go to "Programs" tab, click "Manage addons" button, select "All addons" to show and check if FDM addon is enabled. FDM libs have no certificate so they may be disabled as unverified and uncertain after the latest IE update due to security reasons. It's possible that Microsoft developers try to introduce option similar to "click to play" for plugins in Firefox.

Re: FDM 3.9.4
Windows7 SP1 64bit
Internet Explorer 11.0.11
FDM 3.9.4 build 1472
Enhanced Protection Mode is disabled (32bit IE tab)
FDM BHO (iefdm2.dll) is enabled in addons manager
I re-installed FDM, but still having the issue.

Re: FDM 3.9.4
please fix the compatibility with Internet Explorer 11.0.11
Re: FDM 3.9.4
Current IE update is broken and should be fixed by Microsoft. Please, read this message: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16903&p=39064#p39050Guest wrote:please fix the compatibility with Internet Explorer 11.0.11

nope is not broken, they increased the security of plugins, and the FDM plugin require an update for that.
Re: FDM 3.9.4
It is broken because it breaks compatibility. There should be option available to allow running unsecure plugins in IE as it is available in Firefox.Guest wrote:nope is not broken, they increased the security of plugins, and the FDM plugin require an update for that.

nope, is not about secure and unsecure plugins, is about how they are handled in memory now, and their permissions.
Re: FDM 3.9.4
No matter. There should be option to run incompatible plugin on user demand. It may be available only for tests when running as Administrator, but is SHOULD be there for compatibility reasons.Guest wrote:nope, is not about secure and unsecure plugins, is about how they are handled in memory now, and their permissions.
You should better provide any link to Microsoft documentation describing this change and let the developers decide what and how to fix.
