B871 doesn't react with IE8.
.zip NG
.exe OK
.flv OK
Is it only me?.

Win7 b7600 x64
IE8 8.0.7600.16385 x86

Give some example where FDM does not catch the download.

Hi, Alex-san.

It explains on this site because there are .exe and .zip.
http://www.cpuid.com/
■1.07 setup (installation, includes 32 and 64-bit binaries)
This. FDM reacts because it is exe file downloading.

■1.07, 32-bit (.zip, no installation)
■1.07, 64-bit (.zip, no installation)
■1.07 for Win 98 (.zip, no installation)
These. FDM doesn't react though it is zip file downloading.

http://blog.orbmu2k.de/
ATI Overdrive – Sidebar Gadget
(http://download.orbmu2k.de/download.php?id=46)
On other sites...It doesn't react even to this file.

It doesn't react to the download of .zip.

Regards Nao.

Works fine for me. Try to reset your IE's settings and reenable monitoring in FDM.

I try to reset my IE's settings and re-enable monitoring in FDM. ---> NG
Uninstall after re-install FDMb871 ----> NG

I try many type files download.
.zip-- --> FDM not react
.avi ----> FDM not react <<-- why? default set Video's file
.rmvb --> FDM react
.rar ----> FDM react
.lzh ----> FDM not react
.exe ---> FDM react

Next try. Another file download tool useing.
BitComet1.15 >> not react all files

I think....windows update problem?.
b848 with IE8 not react problem. The same behavior looks like. Or, my Windows is that amusing.
Examine the registry, or somewhere it?.

Thanks Nao.

I have no idea except the other software installed (uninstalled not properly in the past) prevents FDM from catching zip downloads.

it still show download to old version :(

Indeed. I sent a message to the support staff and they replied me suggesting to use the new build and providing a hyperlink to it. It probably would be better to place it on the download page which I think it is the same as via the download button on the first page because otherwise I may be lead to believe that it not supported by the program developers and never download it, mainly because I frequently do it through the download button and rarely go to the download page, hence I glance at forums if I need help and it is the better way to get it, thankfully not this case.

My message was about a suggestion to include a short file description on the active downloads window along with the information currently provided, and although less important a transparent integration with Google's Chrome as with Firefox and Internet Explorer that seems been address in the last mentioned built.

Congratulations on your remarkable effort with this software that gladly surprises me for its excellency, and as the above person quoted might new releases better benefit all that like them if possible available officially as I keep regularly looking for them.

I look forward for your improvement.
Thank you.

"Optimization master" -> "Optimization wizard"

Also, may I suggest merging the Options and Tools menus? This will be a small step to help reduce clutter in the UI design.

I believe the trend is towards menu simplification (consolidation) rather than fragmentation (separation).

May I suggest that you look at the menu layout of any popular program (Firefox, IE, µTorrent, Windows Media Player, Windows Live Messenger, etc.)? Have you found any with both the Options and Tools menus?

As I see, you'll be right if FDM has too many menus. But FDM does not. FDM has 6 menu items, Firefox - 7. Of course, we can merge them. But it seems you are the only user requested this currently.

Please don't take it personally. I'm just pointing out that the use of 'Options' and 'Tools' as a menu name is usually mutually exclusive as their child items are closely related category wise (as you can see 'Tools' is the more common choice).

there is some issues with v3.0.871

for example if you don't have FDM installed, and you open various IE8 windows, and then close these windows, the process iexplore.exe is closed fine.

but when FDM is installed and of you open varios IE8 windows, and then you close these windows... the process iexplorer.exe is still opened :S sometimes more two or more iexplorer.exe are still opened.

possibly FDM plugin is not closed correctly then iexplorer.exe hangs in process ?

Process IExplore.exe is not closed, because the bugs of integration FDM30871 in IE8 causes process "WerFault.exe" which does not allow to close IE.

In my case not, I don't have issues with WerFault.exe

my issues are that iexplorer.exe windows leave opened eating memory when FDM is installed and enabled.
