I hope it will be fixed as soon as possible.
Yeah, the plug-in was working OK on 26, but when I updated to 27 it was disabled, said it wan't compatable with 27.
btw: what was the file that was said could be edited to add the forefox version?
And man when is this thing ever going to be "final" I mean man, we went from Alpha to beta to RC and now back to beta.
Re: FDM 3.9.3
Download FDM again, close Firefox, turn off Firefox monitoring in FDM, reinstall FDM, and turn on Firefox monitoring again. It should work also for Firefox 28 beta.Guest wrote:Yeah, the plug-in was working OK on 26, but when I updated to 27 it was disabled, said it wan't compatable with 27.

OK, looks like you also need to make sure the pop up box has the right check to use flashgot so fdm is the selected D/L prog.

What are you talking about? This topic is NOT about Flashgot.Guest wrote:OK, looks like you also need to make sure the pop up box has the right check to use flashgot so fdm is the selected D/L prog.

Re: FDM 3.9.3
On my now got to remember where the file is to make it work for the nightly build. Hmmmmmmm. As far as I see right now it does not crash anything for me.
Re: FDM 3.9.3
The is where the file is on my computer.
C:\ProgramData\Free Download Manager\Firefox\Extensions\1.6.0.1

relax homes, I wasn't "talkin" bout it, I just said that when I re installed FDM and went to use it I got the usual popup box for FF d/l, there it had 2 check box's, one was save, which I assume would use the FF d/l, and the other was for to use FDM, it just had this flashgot text next to it is all. geezze. Anyway I got the thing to work again.

I don't see a 1.6.0.1 file in that "extensions" folder. all I have there is chrome.manifest, and install.rdf
if I edit the install.rdf, I don't see any ff version numbers to change.
Re: FDM 3.9.3
1. It is a place for Windows Vista+ and for CURRENT plugin version only. User profile in Windows XP is located in another folder. In the next FDM version the plugin may be updated and located in another place.parkd1 wrote:The is where the file is on my computer.

2. The right plugin location should be described in Firefox profile in fdm_ffext@freedownloadmanager.org file.
3. The right file to edit is install.RDF, not just "install".
4. You don't need to find and install any file if you follow my previous suggestions.

1.6.0.1 is the version of the plug-in. You may have a different verson.
Re: FDM 3.9.3
Ignore those suggestions. I have already posted the proper solution:Guest wrote:I don't see a 1.6.0.1 file in that "extensions" folder. all I have there is chrome.manifest, and install.rdf

Download FDM again, close Firefox, turn off Firefox monitoring in FDM, reinstall FDM, and turn on Firefox monitoring again.
Read also FDM FAQ about Firefox troubleshooting (look for "startup cache" keywords).

Re: FDM 3.9.3
Great program!
I have a few small issues with torrent downloads, though. Downloading a .torrent file doesn't start the torrent itself; executing the downloaded file doesn't either. Adding a torrent from the web, or from the downloaded file -same thing. Magnet links work, though.
And adding more versions of a torrent merely gives an error message "torrent exists already". I'd like to have the trackers added to the existing download, to make it faster.
