Few observations.
1. No option to set default download folder in GUI. (But can be set when you try to download something)

We will add this feature in the next releases.

2. I couldn't find enable/disable Torrent in the GUI.

There is no need to do this anymore. If you do not download torrent files, Bittorent does not work.
If you add a torrent file by using 'Open torrent file', it will be enabled automatically. We also will try improving torrent functionality until the beta release.

3. Video download didn't work in Internet Explorer 11.

We are working to fix this issue.

4. Under Google Chrome latest stable, video downloads sometimes gives results as 0 bytes.
5. Under Google Chrome, downloads sometimes takes very long time to return results i.e the circle keeps spinning & during that time no other downloads is catched by FDM but catched by browser. And no way to cancel that spinning thing.
6. After sometime all downloads were catched by browser. Dont know why FDM didn't react. Restarting the browser solves the issue.

Please send us some examples of urls, and what browser you use.

7. Video downloads results had duplicate downloads, for ex- 240 3gp, same file listed 2 times but of different size (dont know if duplicate, bug or what)

What FDM build do you have? Please kindly try the latest one, where this bug has already been fixed.

8. No confirmation popup/dialogue after download is completed.

Thank you very much for your report. We will think about implementing of this feature.

It would be good if there is an option to limit torrent upload i.e 1 kb/s, 10 kb/s, 50 kb/s, unlimited, etc...
And an option to enable/disable seeding.

When you add a download the spinning thing starts & till the spinning thing finishes no other download can be added & therefore other downloads are picked by browser.
It would be good if all downloads are added by FDM & spinning thing is shown for all the added downloads.

Any info about the beta release?

I tried this version for about 5 minutes. I have satellite internet and the only time I can download things is the middle of the night, or else it will use up all of my data. With this version, I can't really see if it has started the download or not, nor I cannot see any way to manually start the download if it is something small. I don't really like the new interface, although the previous one was a little bulky. In all, I think it could be better and I will continue to use the 3.9.3 until it is more compatible with the things I need it for.

Version 3.9.4 does not have this so hope it is in version 5. Hope it has a pause button. Thanks

Dear User! Please kindly explain what you mean by ' I can't really see if it has started the download or not, nor I cannot see any way to manually start the download if it is something small.'

In addition, kindly specify what 'things' do you need for FDM 5.0.

We need some link examples, as well as some screenshots clarifying your issues.

Our programmers are diligently working on adding this option into FDM interface as soon as possible.

And an option to enable/disable seeding.

If you right-click your file in the download window, you'll find the 'Enable seeding' option in the opened drop down menu.

Just updated to the latest version of nightly for Fire Fox is now 34 and version 3.9.4 of FDM is incompatible. Will FDM version 5 work with Fire Fox nightly version 34?

Does the rightclick option enable/disable seeding for that particular or all torrent?
I meant an option to enable/disable seeding for all torrent.

Stopped/cancelled downloads remains hidden as incomplete downloads are given hidden status.
There is an option to remove the downloads from the list but no option to delete the data.
Would it be good if there is an option to delete the data, what you think?

I really hate this interface, seriously. I prefer the old interface. Why do not put the option to select the skin ?

Hello, I'm using build 2733 and I noticed the following issues with torrent downloads:
1) When adding a new torrent, the destination folder combo box is not populated with previous entries until the torrent content list is retrieved. This is more evident with magnet links
2) I upgraded from ver 3.9.x and I have a long download list (for seeding), so FDM 5 takes more than one minute to become responsive on startup ("show only recent+incomplete" like in 3.9.x should suffice)
3) I can't download any torrent via magnetic links in one of my two PCs (can however use .torrent files). Magnetic links work perfectly in the other PC. Both have Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit. The only difference I can think of is that the "broken" installation is aside an old 3.9.4 FDM, while the working one had never seen FDM before.

Thanks for the great work :)

I forgot to say that " I can't download any torrent via magnetic links " means the download does not go over the "Downloading metadata" phase

Can you guys explain about this strange plugin?

I though it's a malware plugin because of weird random name! :(

It's not random:
- NP: Netscape Plugin
- FDM: Free Download Manager
- JS: JavaScript
- V: Video
- DLD: DownLoaD
I'm not sure about JSV, but other parts are self-describing, I think.
