I am new to FDM., so please bear with me...

Here is what I am trying to do... I have FireFox, FlashGot and FDM. I would like to click on the link to download and it just start. For years, I have been using IE and Download Accel. and a "one click" download was normal. Now with these three, I have a dialog box in FireFox asking me "You have chosen to open.." with flashgot as an option. Once I click to proceed, FDM pops up a dialog box and I have to actually click OK for the download to initiate...

Any help would be appreciated

Options -> Monitoring and Check the Silent Monitoring option.

I use the Drop Box instead so I haven't used this much.

Or you can click on a download link in Firefox withe the Altk key pressed... This will omit the Firefox dialog about what you are gonna do with the file and go straigh into FDM dialog...
If you have checked the 'Silent Monitoring' option in FDM, Alt+Clicking on a link to file will download the file without any dialogs...
