2.5: Problem??

I installed 2.5 yesterday. Using Firefox 2.0.0.6, with FlashGot.

Since installing 2.5, I've tried 3 times and was able to download only (approximately) 86MB, 70MB and 83.6MB, respectively, starting from scratch each time at a particular URL. File size is 318MB.

I'm having the same problem. It doesn't download the file. I've tried several times.

I believe I figured out what's going on.

When the download manager was running, it opened 4-6 byte streams to download the file.

Normally, such byte streams are equally used, but in this case, I noticed that the first stream was doing nearly all of the work, with little done by the extra streams.

My idea was that when the first stream was completed, its session ID went bye bye, thus the other streams would no longer have access to the file.

Sew, I restarted the download after telling the download manager to use only 1 stream.

Well, thus far about 237MB has been downloaded, so maybe the problem was that more than 1 stream cannot be used.

I'll let y'all know if this completes successfully. If so, you need to post a note at your web site telling folkes that use download managers to use only 1 stream in such cases.

But, I also have another idea that might allow more tan 1 session, I'll try that after the current job finishes.
