There are no options for mirror management.
You can not import a list of URLs from a file (option just doesn't exist)
There's no progress window for every download. You have to guess what's happening with your download.
Hi. Of all that you've said I got interested in this: what do you see as auto-cleaning the finished downloads? Removing them?

From the list? maybe after a period of time?
Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
automatically removing completed downloads from the list.

That's a rather... unusual feature, but I'll pass it on to the devs.

It's not something that I have any interest in.
I also like to think that at fdm towers all the devs are busy working on the FF plugin.
Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
maybe a small bug of FDM extension. FDM build:3.9.7 build 1683 (light)
I disable "add FDM to the brower context menu", but it doesn't work well on firefox(60.1.0esr), Windows 8.1 x64.
It may be effective the first time you right-click on a connection, but it won't work from the second right-click. If you left click in a blank place, it may disappear again.[Translated by Google.]
Everything is just installed. I have restarted firefox after setting FDM.
Sorry for my poor English! I don't know whether it is a bug, or my problem.
FDM is a great software, thank you for developing it!

I suspect the behaviour of the FF plugin has changed, but I'm not sure.
I believe before if you highlighted a URL that was NOT a hyperlink, the conext menu it would still give you the possibility of downloading with FDM. and it doesn't do that anymore.
eg

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
I haven't switched to Firefox Quantum (v57 and above) yet because it seems impossible to set the timestamp of a browser downloaded file to the server timestamp and NOT the current system time. This seems to be impossible because of the change on extensions technology (from XUL to WebExtensions, huh?).
To be honest even on past FF versions this was not a (simple) browser option and you can find many debates and different point of views, even from developers that don't think to give server timestamp to the new downloaded files is a good idea (?), and you had to use, as I do, an extension (DownThemAll in the past and now Download Manager (S3)) to get this feature.
So I'm still using FF v56 with Download Manager (S3) v4.13, but on FF Quantum setting server timestamp would NEVER be possible (this is what says the DM developer) because of WebExtensions.
Since to me this is CRITICAL feature I figured out that the only way to update to FF Quantum is to use a browser external downloader and decided to give FDM a try. But, at least with my configuration, it doesn't seems to work.
Like said, right now I'm using FF v56 with Download Manager (S3) v4.13 and if I choose to download using DM it works, but if choose to download with the installed FDM v5.1.37.7258 (with FF extension v3.0.24), it WON'T!
I did many tests by changing "Settings->General->Download->Use server time for file creation" from yes to no and back again but without any result: the downloaded file with FDM will always have the current system time.
Sniff... what I'm doing wrong?
Thank very much for reading,
Luca

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
It's some kind of regression introduced in FDM 5.1.35, not a problem with Firefox itself. You can download, install and use FDM 5.1.34 from filehippo - it's the last version that sets proper timestamps. The Bait wrote:I haven't switched to Firefox Quantum (v57 and above) yet because it seems impossible to set the timestamp of a browser downloaded file to the server timestamp and NOT the current system time.

Thank you very much, Andrzej.
I'll try v5.1.34 as soon as possible (I found the post you said but it seemed old).
Just curious... why this "bug" in v5.1.35 has not been fixed in the following versions (v5.1.36 and above)?
Simply forgotten or you're going to manage this feature in a different way? To be completely clear, could we hope to see next version working as v5.1.34? This only because usually I avoid using old versions for reason of stability and security...
Thank you again,
Luca

Re: PLEASE put up all FDM and Firefox problems here!
I use FDM 3.9.7 and extension in firefox flawlessly since a while and i just installed (on a new computer) Firefox 62 (64 bits) and FDM 3.9.7 and firefox extension causes some issues on several websites (errors on submitting some forms, errors with some downloads...). Disabling extension solves issues.
The only difference with my other computer is 64 bits version of Firefox.
Someone can confirm this issue ?
That's exactly the same issues that occured on 32 bits version when Firefox released Quantum...

I don't know what is going on, I have been using FDM with Firefox extension for quite some time, but all off a sudden
I am getting a connection refused error. Does anyone know what is going on?
I am using FF Quantum 63.0.1 (64bit) with Windows 10.

I've switched to FDM 5.1 because of this problem! Anybody found a solution yet? I'd like to go back to 3.9.7!
Thanks,
Alex

I don't know if it's just me, but since the extension was made compatible with FDM 3.9.x again I decided to give it another try, but unfortunately, the old problems I had before are still there, the extension fails to catch download on too many sites. It works, but not on every site...I'm using extension 3.0.27. Maybe there's a beta version or s/thing I can try. needless to say, I'm very frustrated by this...
