Re: FDM 3.9.7
Problem with latest update with torrent files being blocked by torrent program from catching the link. Only fix is to stop FDM from FF monitoring so torrent file can be cached by the right program. If the fix isn't coming soon - I will re-image back the working previous version until this catching of links in FDM can be fixed in latest version that doesn't interfere with utorrent catching the torrent link.
Been decided I will revert back to the previous FDM from this one to restore the function back. I'll wait til this problem catching of links is fixed before using a newer version.
Well reverted back to previous second to last update and now it works as it did before and utorrent can catch the torrent links. So from the latest update there is a Bug in the current v3 FDM that needs to be fixed in order to not break download when you cancel FDM so that utorrent can catch the link.

Re: FDM 3.9.7
After an update of Firefox (now v57 x64), won't work FDM v3x anymore, and an update of FDM is necessary.
FDM was working on my Windows 7x64 for a couple of years, and I was always happy with that.
I had or have no plans to update FDM to version 5, while this version is missing some features what I use.
I updated FDM (latest 3 version), while I configure FDM, and I want to install a monitoring service, then I get a message, that it cannot be installed.
On another system, Windows 7x64, FDM 5 said, that firefox v57 isn't installed. ??????
Any help will be appreciated.

Feel free to download the latest version of FDM_3 - 1638. Enable the integration with Firefox and install the extension version 3.0.3. The old version of the extension does not work with Firefox 57.
Have you installed Firefox and FDM using the same user and to the default folders?
When you enable the integration, does FDM propose to install Firefox and not to enable the integration?
Regards,
Clive

Latest update from the site I download FF is 56.0.2 release so are you using a beta version? I would stay away from using beta Browser and go back to 56.0.2 if I were you til they officially release 57. I already mention on here and a posting I made that the 1638 version installed on anything 56 and below breaks the download process if you cancel the download when I tried it on FF56 release. Usually when I cancel FDM download I get the browser download or in my instance utorrent would catch the torrent link correctly but installing FDM 1638 if you cancel the browser attempts to save a unknown file with characters and it will not work properly. I myself reversed the install with a saved computer Image and have kept FDM 1638 from installing til the download "cancel" option doesn't break my download process. Until FF57 is Officially release I will stay away from 1638 and even then will save the image with FF57 before installing 1638 if the problem should reappear again.

Right, Ok, that's the problem. I shall reinstall FF to 56.0.2. Thanks.

That's ok, for me I'll probably try FF57 when they release it but with hesitation should FDM 1638 bring up issues of downloading when you "Cancel" the FDM popup. That to me is what broke FF56.0.2 downloads for torrent - it caused more headache and only when I stopped FDM catching of FF links did I figure it was a FDM issue. Otherwise I would be plugging my hair out on it.

This is why, I was posting the problem so someone would not try it til the problem was resolved but seems like it's too late now. Anytime anything is removed regardless of what it says is no guarantee that it didn't wipe everything else. There is not much anyone can do here with the removal since you have installed over in the same location. There is basically nothing else that can be done here.
Re: FDM 3.9.7
You should allways create atleast a restore point before you upgrade any program. That includes RDM.

You assume that when one update there was no problem until you updated. I myself do this but have you consider the time to restore and update and then getting everything running. That's not a quick and fast process here. A updated version shouldn't break it so bad that you have to go back two images of which then you have to update all the other related software before you can make a new image that works. What your sayings sounds good and all but it takes time to restore image then update the related software and update the software and re-image and then reboot and hopefully FDM didn't break something and if it did you have to go back to the working image and redo again. This is not something fun nor would anyone want to do on a constant basis. This what I do restore the last working image then update all related software and run to test and if it works then make a new image based on the most recent update but still keeping two older images just in case. This is how I prevent a complete wipe and fresh install otherwise I would spend days on end trying to find the problem and that is where a Acronis image helps to restore back that last working image not do a complete Fresh install to fix and this also helps to narrow faster the problem which is how I discovered the problem with FDM 1638 with FF56.0.2. If I did a complete Fresh install I would've never found the problem.
Re: FDM 3.9.7
Hello. Right now my FDM 3.9.7.1638 in Firefox 56.0.2 always detects unwanted links whenever I'm on a Google page, like the Google Search page. It just happened today. Is anybody out there experiencing the same thing? I can't figure out what to put in the SKIP list to remedy it. I tried "com" and "widget" but no luck. After I typed in another word in the search box and after a few seconds, FDM detects it again and an Add Download box is opened again. I have to keep closing it.
