FDM3 and IE8 - possible?
FDM3 and IE8 - possible?
Hi,
is the combination of FDM3 and IE8 working?
When will "Internet Explorer 8" be added (at least optically) in the program options?

I'm a long-time FDM user (likes it very much ! ) but it doesn't work for me either with I.E.8......
I HAVE used RESET in I.E.8 previously - but used previous version of FDM then , haven't had any downloads after that or not noticed before today - but today I noticed that FDM was not working. I then downloaded and installed FDM 3 (second of April 2009) then installed it and expected FDM to start working - but NO ! - still doesn't work
I've looked in the "Administer Addons" for I.E.8 , there there is a "FDMIECookiesBHO Class" that is not active , I don't know if that has something to do with the problem because I don't know what a "FDMIECookiesBHO Class" is and I don't activate addons if I don't know what they are and what they do.
I hope that FDM get's to work wih I.E.8 because I have been very fond of the program (THANK YOU !) .
P.S. : I.E.8

Sorry for the poor report !
Ofcourse I should also mention that I use Windows XP Pro SP3 , Zonealarm Firewall , AVG Free Antivirus And do NOT have any active components from Ad-Aware or Spybot S&D , also have Windows Defender but don't know if that has any active components by default !

Re: IE 8 and FDM
I'm using Windows 7 x64, and FDM 3.0 848 seems to work without problem.. Well I noticed some bugs but I'm not sure it's because of build 848 or IE 8 of Windows 7..
Interesting...
I have two computers here, both running Vista SP1 32-bit, IE8 and FDM 3.0.848. One of them catches browser clicks fine, the other one doesn't. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling IE and FDM (in that order) as well as resetting IE to default.
I had IE7 and FDM and it worked fine.
Then I installed IE8 and it worked but IE8 became very unstable.
I installed newest FDM 3.0 build 848 and then I disabled
FDMIECookiesBHO Class in IE8
(Tools > Manage Addons) make sure you are viewing all addons.
My IE8 is stable and FDM 3.0 buld 848 is integrated and works fine!
I don't know if this is the same problem you are referring to but maybe you should install an older 2.x build and then drop 3.0 on and then disable that addon. you should be good to go.

Good luck
